Ooo, what made you decide to get the One X over the One S in the end?
Sent from my HTC Desire S using xda premium
Sent you a PM about it this morning dude. I know I was going to originally get the One S, but several concerns just couldn't be over-looked. Firstly I think i'd be the only member of the CD team not getting a One X. Didn't want to be Billy-No-Mates.
Then there is the elephant in the room: The 16GB internal memory. I just don't want to buy a new phone that can't do something my current DS can do. I'd have to sacrifice music to make room for off-line navigation and ROM backups and photos/videos. Orange 3G is not good enough to rely on streaming from cloud storage. Plus I'd have to up my allowance to at least 1GB which, over the course of the 24 months, would cost me an additional £204. Considering the One X is only £50 more....
(I seem to remember they did the same thing with the Legend & Desire. £340 for the Legend with 600Mhz CPU, or £400 for the Desire with 1GHz CPU. OK the Legend was prettier but it didn't sell. £60 more got you much better hardware.)
Then my final worry was confirmed this morning when the One X reviews started rolling out. The One S's qHD pentile AMOLED screen. Seen the comparison on The Verge review?
I had the old Desire. These pentile displays can make the edge of text look rough. Maybe in real life you don't notice it, but you still can't ignore the reviews the One X has gotten on it's screen alone.
Now I just need a bigger thumb.
