Maybe you should go for a long walk, think about some breathing exercises, maybe do a deep knee bend or two. I'm not your Huckleberry, so move along.

Oh I'm sorry, the truth too much for you?

Anybody know how to increase the brightness of the touch keys? In the settings there was some menu regarding the auto brightness and such, and the keys were at 0. I changed them to their max value but no change.

What I did was, Menu > ???? > Turn off touch key lights

This does exactly the opposite of what you were asking for... but since you are being a douche to others, I'ma do the same...

read and you'll find your answer.

Yeah... looks like a lot of the servers are down. I wish I had an extra computer laying around to donate as a server.
Um, they have NO need for more servers, they just got a new set.

The only issue is that while they were initially setting them up, the servers were located at Kondik's house - and have blown his breaker multiple times. Once they're set up and moved to a hosting facility (or Steve upgrades his electrical service) things should be reliable.

Why does it suck if you dont use them that much:p. JK, for the flashlight theres an app that comes in the ROM called Torch. As for the NetFlix I have no clue since I watch movies on my HDTV :D
Netflix should be working fine now - sbrissen's patch to fix it got merged a few days ago.

Maybe you should do some reading before speaking. It has a lousy track record on the i777 because it wasn't SUPPORTED by the i777. Now that our phone is supported, it runs perfectly. You can't go and complain about a program that wasn't meant to work for our phone. Atinm has explained several times the circumstances behind Rom Manager.
I still don't trust it myself - the fact is that anyone who is flashing things on their phone shouldn't be having their hand held by ROM Manager, and there's also the fact that on "unsupported" devices it just decides to randomly use its own recovery that is broken. On the Infuse, using RM was a guaranteed softbrick.

maybe you should read a little too. it may not have answered this question directly but a few days ago i posted about auto brightness... backlights only have two settings: on and off.

any valuse you place in the auto custom brightness section from 1 to 255 will be on 0 is off.

Small issue that I'd like to throw out there which may fail in comparison with others. I do love to use my radio streaming apps (Fav: TuneIn). On stock ROM or GB, if I had the ringer set to on - when I got a text message there would be a slight pause in all sound and then the stream would pick up again. Now if I have the ringer on and I get a text, the sound drops and I have to hit the sound rocker button for sound to start again. If the phone is on silent or vibrate, the streaming audio will pause and then resume as expected. Same thing happens if I take a photo and the shutter sound engages.

Not a big deal, but if its not fix - I'll burn this mother*$(%^# to the ground.

Hmm. I don't think Atin removed the link to the Cyanogen site where you can find downloads.. also if you have RM premium you can check and install the latest nightlies from there.. oh wait, all that's in the OP which I'm sure you read. ............. are you asking if anyone here is holding on to a nightly that nobody else has and is keeping it hostage for themselves?

I've been keeping an eye on this thread, reading every post lol I haven't seen anyone mention the problem I am having. Sorry if someone did lol...

When I'm in my browser, sometimes I get a pop up box that say 'Connection error. The connection to the server timed out.' I have to hit 'Okay'. Anybody else get it? I use my browser to view this forum. This is pretty much the only site I go to lol It's not that big of a deal because after I hit 'Okay' it just goes away. It doesn't do anything to the web page I'm looking at at the time, I just want to know if anybody else is getting it. I'm running the latest nightly: 03/30.

As far as I can tell netflix is still not working. I am running the latest nightly which is in every other way very stable for me. However, netflix gives me sound with a blank screen. I have not tested MHL either yet. . . .

Any chance you are using "AdFree" to block ads? Maybe an Ad is being blocked and you are seeing the connection error from it trying to contact localhost?

I saw someone else report this was happening to them as well. I'm sure it will be fixed soon enough. I use my phone when I am running and biking to listen to music all while using MapMyRide. The app pauses my music to announce the current stats and then does pick back up. Same when I get text messages and phone calls. Both wile on Bluetooth and not. So yeah I donno what the difference is. :)

Buildbot just dropped "update-cm-9-20120402-NIGHTLY-galaxys2-signed.zip". Maybe the i777 build will come soon!

It looks like this issue is in the changelog to be fixed in an upcoming nightly. Changelog link is in the OP.

So is it just me or is the Market still acting a bit weird? I can install only some applications that previously were compatible with the device. Logitech Harmony Remote being one of them, it no longer is apparently compatible.

I also today downloaded Gallery Excluder, but when I went to actually purchase the donation version it stated that the donation version is not compatible with my device. Before I contact the developer, any tips on resolving such? I did clear the Market data and reboot as well.

MHL won't work yet - but I tested Netflix over the weekend and it was working.

http://review.cyanogenmod.com/#change,14254 is the patch (Netflix was explicitly mentioned in sbrissen's patch set - the commit is more generic as merged.)

MHL is never going to work on a CM rom. Samsung won't release the source code for it..

I wouldn't say "never" - The rework that fixed video recording (which included pulling opensource codec implementations from origenboard) has gotten MHL semi-working... So it may be possible.

CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 4.0 (ICS), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

    Code:

     *
     * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
     * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
     * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

First time installing CyanogenMod 9 to your AT&T Galaxy S II (SGH-I777), or coming from another ROM:
    - READ FAQs: http://teamhacksung.org/wiki/index.php/Experimental:GT-I9100:Frequently_Asked_Questions
    - Make sure you're running SGH-I777 bootloaders only (only the ones that are specifically released for the SGH-I777 -- official Gingerbread bootloaders work fine!) and a proper working CWM like the one from CM7
    - Copy GApps and CM9 ZIPs to your internal SDCard
    - Boot into Recovery
    - Flash CM9 zip
    - Flash GApps zip
    - DO A DATA WIPE / FACTORY RESET (otherwise your calendar sync will not work)
    - Reboot
    - Don't restore Apps using Titanium Backup!

Upgrading from earlier version of CyanogenMod 9:
    - Copy CM9 ZIP to your internal SDCard
    - Boot into Recovery
    - Flash CM9 zip
    - Wipe cache partition and dalvik-cache
    - Reboot

    STOP!!!

What I don't quite get is why there are nightly builds of this ROM but no fix yet to the audio bug.

Overall it is a pretty sweet ROM, and compared to the leaked ATT ICS ROM it kicks ass. The att rom is a bugging bloat ridden piece of crap.

The audio bug impacts the ROM as a daily driver, so much works right about the ROM but this bug in particular makes it a pain to use. Being able to receive a text while listening to streaming music and receiving a notification and have the music return to the previous sound level just does not seem like too much to ask.
Because this "bug" hasn't impacted any developers and we've got a ton of other things to fix.

ICS KERNEL SOURCE HAS ONLY BEEN OUT THREE WEEKS.

IT HAD FUNDAMENTAL STABILITY BUGS WE DIDN'T FIND FIXES FOR UNTIL DAYS AGO.

THIS WEEKEND IS EASTER AND SOME OF US HAD HOLIDAY PREP TO DO LAST WEEK. WE HAVE OUR OWN LIVES YOU KNOW!

WE DON'T EXIST TO SERVE YOU.

Submit a fix to gerrit or stop *****ing and wait!
    15
codeworkx's tree is untested - it keeps derping. Looks like I'll have to temporarily rip out NFC.

It's 1:35 AM, I'm about to go to bed regardless of whether it builds or not.
    14
TriangleAway can be used on ICS to reset the flash counter.

Video recording upgrades are not merged in yet - it's in progress. No ETAs, but it's close. Don't ask when, of course - there are many reasons why a patch that works on our device will get rejected until rewritten in a way that doesn't break other devices.

A major dock audio cleanup by StevenHarperUK is in progress. It's working on my device now, so it's a matter of getting through code review.

I submitted a new kernel to gerrit that fixes stability issues when changing cpufreq min/max limits (e.g. fixes SetCPU profiles).

I'm going to hop over to TW-land for a while to do some stuff, then I think I might play with NFC.

    Great. So 4/20 ****S **** UP AGAIN!

More mount point changes? Now all my gameloft apps that I JUST fixed last night are redownloading app data again. Same with my dropbox, as well as my spotify AGAIN.

Why are they doing this!!!??? THIS IS 2 TIMES I'M gonna have to RESTORE to get my **** right again. I mean, I get the first swap of mount points. It was needed to match other devices, but it's royally screwed my device. AGAIN!

Maybe some warning in PLAIN ENGLISH is in order. I'm about to give up on CM9.

get lost. your post is ridiculous. is this your rom? did you take any part in the development of this rom? NO and NO!!! how do you have any right to ***** or complain about something that you have NOTHING to do with? YOU DON'T! if you don't like it, FIX IT YOURSELF and submit it to gerritt and see if your changes get merged. either do something about it yourself or switch to a different rom. its that easy. no one forced you to use this rom. your post doesn't get you any closer to your solution so i'm not quite sure why you even posted this bull**** other then to complain about something that you have no right or control over. think about it.
