Oh ok cuz in that video he was running MS Office

Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using xda app-developers app

wine can run only native programs, is a lib caller, not an emulator.
so you cant run x86 progams on an arm machine, only arm compiled programs.
so maybe you can run win8 RT programs and apps (if you can break their signature), you wont be able to run win8 x86 ones.

Is possible to run for example MS Office

Here is official Canonical citation:

"Today’s tablets are as powerful as ultra-light laptops. Ubuntu uniquely supports a new category of convergence device – add a keyboard and mouse and your Ubuntu tablet becomes
a full PC and thin client, with access to Windows apps over standard protocols from Microsoft, Citrix, VMware and Wyse. That lets enterprise IT deploy a single, secure, portable corporate device for all kinds of applications."

Some kind of virtualization, but it can be real to run MS apps on ARM :)

I believe that the supported devices will increase, it's just a matter of time. Until then I'll stick to old faithful android :D

Nexus 7 only has 1GB RAM and its a officially supported tablet.

Actually they said that you need at least 512 mb ram and single core cortex A9 1 GHz. At least that's what I read on their website.

Alles gute !
