I've just tested the P6200 build on a P6201, and it worked fine, so I'm going to add support for these German Tab 7+ variants (wifi and 3G) to the next build. The Tab 7+ N versions were released in Germany to satisfy the courts during Apple's lawsuit against Samsung; the internal hardware is the same, but the exterior has a modified speaker grill as well as a slightly different bezel.

Any Tab 7+ N users want to test? :)

lol, I just thought "maybe it could be a good time to solve all these things with cm9 on my galaxy tab", came here and you already tested it :D

Okay, I'll install it nao :) Need to setup cwm first :D

Good, you and vegeta2 can be my dedicated testers, haha. If I recall correctly, he was able to flash the P6200 one after he removed the asserts from the updater-script. He tried to change them to P6201, but apparently it didn't work... not sure why.

So if you try it, let me know how it goes :)

I've tested CM9 on the P6200L model and it works really fine, I just had to delete the asserts :D

That's great to hear. Did calling and SMS work? What about vibration on touch? I'm curious if the P6200 variants have all these things working because the kernel source was a bit different.

So I can add GT-P6200L support in the next P6200 build. :)

Sure, I'll test for you too! I have a U.S. Rooted, wifi only version

Ah, good. The SGH-T869?

I didn't tested call and SMS, I'll test later when I get back home, but vibration on touch works :D

It was "working" (but not very well)... then it broke. Now it doesn't work. I updated the Known Issues on the first post, but the log still reflects the state of various features at various times. It's valuable historical information. :)

June 13 build for P6200, P6201, P6200L...

Since a few brave users have been testing the P6200 build on various P6200 variants, I decided to add support for those devices to the ROM. Here's a new build, freshly compiled, which should work on both the P6201 and the P6200L:

Download: goo-inside.me (md5: e752faa9ed411c77f88295ccfbad1e2c)
Flash: use ClockworkMod Recovery, make sure to do a data wipe first!

Report back after flashing... we want all the details. :)

Here you go!

Not sure i f this is of any help, but 22 hours ago the Galaxy S2 ICS source was released. It's probably useless but since we share some hardware, maybe the wifi is identical, too? http://opensource.samsung.com/reception/receptionSub.do?method=search&searchValue=SGH-T989

Not sure if it will help... that phone uses a Qualcomm CPU, and most likely a Broadcom wifi chip (though I'm not sure). We use an Atheros wifi chip. :)

First you need to install the CWM, I've attached it on the General Area in a topic called Found P6200L Firmware, grab it and install, then download this CM9.

Make sure to create a backup first.

Sem problemas, either way is fine :D

Now I'll test calling and SMS as aorth asked.

Calling, SMS and cellular data are working aorth using the latest build :D Oh and wifi almost worked, it shows my network but I can't connect, it hangs at obtaining ip address, I know you already knows that.

Alright, downloading right now.. thanx 4 your great work so far!

Just one thing: *got brickbug* sais that i got the brick bug with 0x19. Any changes for the flashing procedure with that?
Or is that more a matter of luck?
I guess any kind of backups r just senseless with ****ty flashing firmware.
So whats the best way to avoid an expensive brick? Just not to flash?

Brickbug reports if your device is using a flash firmware with a known-buggy firmware. From what I've read it's only certain kernels which trigger this bug. On the Galaxy S II and the Galaxy Note it was only triggered by kernels in the leaked ICS builds, and on some occasions official ICS builds.

As long as you're using my or garyd9's ClockworkMod recovery you should be safe; we're using either the Honeycomb kernel (Linux 2.6.36) or the CM9 ICS kernel (Linux 3.0.x), both of which should be safe.

For what it's worth, my tab also reports that it has a buggy flash firmware. I flash and erase ALL the time, and I'm ok. :)

Hear ye, hear ye! I've started porting CyanogenMod 9 to the Galaxy Tab Plus. While it's up and running (and actually quite usable), this is really only a developer preview. Please understand that this is a very rough initial port, and lots of stuff doesn't work.

    Warning! Do not flash!

Do not flash this unless you know how to backup your data and especially unless you know how to get back to stock. If you don't already know how to do this, you might want to familiarize yourself with the process now, while the other developers and me get CM9 to a more "daily driver" state. I don't have time to help n00bs unbrick their devices. No offense!

    Known issues
Please don't complain about them unless you're willing to fix them. :)
    • USB mounting of internal storage (will never work). Removable sdcard can work, but is disabled for now. Note: USB mounting is different than MTP, which works fine already.
    • HDMI out
    • Hardware acceleration for DivX/MP3
    • IR Blaster
    • WiFi is a bit iffy, sometimes you need to toggle it off and on
    • GPS doesn't get as many satellites as in stock

Flash from ClockworkMod Recovery 6.0.1.x (probably works with 5.0.2.x, but I use 6.0.1.x so your mileage may vary). Make sure to wipe data/factory reset. No whining if it eats your homework.

    I'm baaaack.

I'm back from vacation, and I've synced up with locerra's latest changes to the tab device trees. He's been very productive over the last two weeks, and I have new builds for P6200, P6210, and T869 on their way to the server as we speak...

You'll have new builds verrrrrry soon.
    15
    Developer preview 3.2

Here's DP 3.2. Nothing major, just a minor update with the rear-facing camera working again. Note: it's still not working 100%, merely back to how it was before it regressed in DP 3.1 (locerra made some libcamera changes). :)

    P6200: goo-inside.me (md5: 1271d226e74a96341d75a8439735eac1)
    P6210: goo-inside.me (md5: 38ed64d1f625ef7d5d174007139f008e)

While it is working, I get roughly 5 out of 10 shots which are plagued by artifacts, for example:

    DP3 for P6210

I've decided to take up managing the P6210 releases for now, since kmmxracer has decided to leave us. :)

Here's some DP3 love for the wifi guys:

    P6210 (DP3, May 13, 2012): goo-inside.me / mirrors wanted! (md5: b6ec56f08d32fcf052a2cc7f63cc8230)
    ClockworkMod Recovery P6210: From garyd9
Google Apps: http://goo-inside.me/gapps/ (use the CyanogenMod 9 one)

Keep in mind I don't actually have this device... so if it doesn't boot, BREATH, and then tell me what happened. :)
