[q] should i do s-off?

While i have cm kitkat on my htc one .is it better to do s-off ?or s-on? What about if i flash another kernal that time i need soff is better?

Please send me link of best kernal i want flash it with cm .

Do you need s-off, do you really know what s-off is and how to use it ?

Ask yourself those questions first, because if the answer is no to any of the above then stay s-on, its very easy to kill your phone for good when s-off.

You can flash rom's and kernels with s-on, just need to unlock your bootloader at HTC Dev.

s-on is there to protect people who don't know what they are doing with s-off, there's plenty of threads around here from people killing there phones who had s-off and didn't really know what they were doing with it.

S off will help you in these situations
Tempered flag removal
Flashing ota manually
Flashing any firmware means downgrade
Change mid so you can convert your phone to GPE or Developers edition
You can "Lock" phone instead of " Relock" means full back to Warranty

If you keep S On it will prevent you from all above
Just 1 benefit you can't flash other firmware so less chance of brick
