Hey guys, I just installed the ROM and so far so good, except for two things.
Every time i boot, after insert the PIN, it asks for "SIM network unlock PIN", i click on "Dismiss" and everything works fine. It's weird right? Any thoughts?

Also, every time that i come back from an app to the apps menu, it freezes for a bit.

I'll keep using and report more bugs that i find :)
Great job nAa Thanks :D

Thats normal, it appears and disappears, dont worry, everything should work fine ;)

Hey folks i found another thing:

If when you are typing, you wanna press the comma (,) key and appears an apostrophe ('), you need to change your keyboard layout.
I choose "Latin-on-Pinyin" and it works all fine. You can do this by go to settings -> advanced -> keyboard layout.
This is for the QWERTY Keyboards, and i suppose the QWERTY keyboards are the same in all "QWERTY countries".

Since I'll be travelling for work next week and holiday after, I need to switch back to MiniCM7 for the rockstability & batterylife. Can I simply install the Gingerbread nAa Kernel + ROM or do I first have to go back to stock via SEUS before installing new kernel?

I'll definitely come back to CM9 in june :D

You don't need to install SEUS. You can downgrade directly from ICS to Gingerbread ;)

Make your ICS FASTER and drain LESS BATTERY :D

NOW EVERYTHING WORKS AGAIN!
Hi friends! I have made a flashable zip file which will give you more free RAM and by that way get better performance, less lag and less battery-loss!
I have now 94MB free RAM!
(77+17=94MB) if not in settings*
Screenshot_2012-05-10-21-59-14.png

Make sure you make a BACKUP first!
Step1:
->DOWNLOAD<- and place it somewhere in your SD-card
Step2:
Use "root explorer" or something that gives you access of changing system files.
go to /system/ and remove the folder "app", (let every single app get removed)
Step3:
now you will start to get many popups, remove your battery, only way to restart phone.
Step4:
Go into CWM-recovery! (dont let the phone start or you will have to remove the battery again to restart it)
Step5:
Flash the zip you downloaded and did put in SD-card
Step6:
Wipe dalvik-cache in advanced
Step7:
Done, now reboot into phone and enjoy!
IMPORTANT! you have to flash gapps again! ->Download gapps<- and flash them again!

"Thanks" are appreciated :D

Creds:
Also thanks to nAa and his team for great ROM and kernel!
Reloaded ICS team!
faiyyaz - for the phone.apk and mms.apk (they are included in this zip!)

No bugs experienced so far, please PM me if you experience any new bugs after flashing this zip!

I don't think roobeyn's fix has something to do with Android's memory management. It's something to do more with Sony's blogpost regarding to the comparison of Gingerbread and Ice Cream Sandwich. Sony cited that the "Android system" uses ⅓ of the phone's RAM for the Android system in ICS. In MiniCM9 ROM's case, the "Android system" uses ⅔ of the phone's RAM, leaving us only ⅓ for applications. Your link has something more to do with how Android deals with application management or my so-called ⅓ RAM left for applications. Hope you guys got my point.

Is there any way nobodyAtall can integrate:

s0ftcorn said:
These whole "ram tweaks" are not necessary, but tweaking your phone regarding the handling of ram, might be insteresting. Like supercharger which helped a lot, but it got a kind of more difficult installation :/

into V4.0 (or whatever the next version number is) of MiniCM9 mimmi (mini Pro) port?? :confused: ? Thanks :)

It seems that your battery is dead, try replacing with new one and see if problem persists. ;-)

    Performance
    MiniCM9 along with the nAa-ics kernel, includes some interesting performance improvement points:
    • System -> Performance -> Processor -> CPU governor and frequency --> SmartassV2 is suggested. Overclocking can be set as higher as your device can take
    • System -> Performance -> Processor -> Undervolting --> Enable this to get better battery life
    • System -> Performance -> Memory management -> zRam (Compcache) --> By default this is set to 18% in order to provide more physical memory (RAM)
    • System -> Performance -> Kernel samepage merging -> Enable this to get smaller memory footprint due to memory sharing among apps (Note that this might increase battery consumption)
    85
    Components

    ### Built from sources
    * libaudio
    * libgralloc
    * hwcomposer
    * libsensors
    * liblight
    * fm Radio
    * camerahal
    * libcamera
    * bluetooth

    ### Done
    * Camcorder
    * HW Video encoder / decoder

    Hello pro community ;)

    MiniCM9-3.0.1 is released today for the x10mini pro.
    This is a team effort so you should be thanking everybody: Implementation-wise D_d is making the visuals and preparing the MiniCM9 theme that will be included in upcoming versions. Testing and support-wise matmutant is doing an excellent work. Specifically for the pro, many thanks to leajian and siddardha21 for their device-specific testing and suggestions.

    Note that CM9 is still very young and there are still a lot of bugs to be fixed and features to be implemented. Please only contribute positively to the discussion, try to find fixes / workarounds if you can and suggest them to the rest of the users. As always I'm open to patches and suggestions.

    Enjoy you camera with ICS :D
