[Q] What does the locked bootloader?

Hi everyone,

I read on other forums that the Optimus 4X bootloader is locked!
means it will be impossible to make the root or something needs to unlock it and then make the root?

Very interesting information, so does have Optimus 4X really locked bootloader?

Do you mean answer "yes" that Optimus 4X have locked bootloader or do you answering on the first question about root?

My question was whether the locked bootloader means that there will never be the root...

I understand, but my reaction was on the post from axepted, if he mented "yes" on the fact that the Optimus 4X have locked bootloader.

So, the question is still here: do Optimus 4X have a locked bootloader?

Even if it is locked, it doesn't mean root is impossible.

The HTC Sensation had a locked bootloader and we still got root

Its OK.
Me too wondering, where do you read nikokazaa that the bootloader is locked?

Because what I know only HTC is locking bootloaders and it was one of the main reasons to plan a buy of Optimus 4X for me.

I've read on Telefonino.net forum that a Motorola razr xda dev say that the bootloader is locked!
Who will help us to unlock it?

You dont need unlocked bootloader to gain root access...

I call fake on that screenshot, heres why. I could the same. Move a screenshot i took on my note of super use then load this on my Optimus 4x hd....

Owners of 4X, you can try if it will work?
It looks simple.

A bootlocker will not say it isn't possible to root the phone.

My Asus transformer prime has bootlocker but I've rooted it. Just have to wait to someone find a solution.
