PC not showing G2 in media devices after the new knockcode update

So I received the update like 4days back and since then my pc does not show my g2 in media devices. I tried troubleshoot but it fails (shoot me if it even works for once) I tried to delete the driver and let it reinstall but a dialog box comes up with driver failed to install .please help me asap.

Download the drivers from LG site then install it. After the installation is complete connect your device to a different usb port.

Be sure that the phone is set to media sync (MTP)
