Re: [SCRIPT] ROM Cleaner v2.0 AROMA | Remove Bloatware | Backup Apps | Install Apps/

Google Maps usually comes with the ROM as default, unless it isn't inside your original zip file. Am I right?

I just ran the Backup Tool, and I confirm Google maps isn't inside.

Yes you right ir comes with the rom bit i install brut version to activate navigation on my country thats why.

---------- Post added at 02:18 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:48 PM ----------

No idea why that happens for you. Did you restore data for those apps?

Maybe fix permissions in recovery will help or clearing data for each app that gives FC.

Or those specific apps must be installed and not just copied to /data/app.

Have a look in Internal/external sdcard/ROMCleaner/Backup/data/app if Google Maps and Navitel is in there at all.

Isn't inside im gonna put it manual and see what happen and let you knon

"Not enough space! You need to free up 289MB on your sdcard."

I do not have an external SD card, and my internal SD has space. Wondering why I face this error

Please make a "Log Collection" and upload it here. Maybe I will get an idea why this happens.

Flash ROMCleaner.zip > Main menu > Log Collection > Advanced Power Menu > Reboot.

Upload RC_LogCollection*.tar

If i insert a microsd, it works, however there is another issue. I created my own ROMCleaner_user.txt and place in ROMCleaner folder, but it did not run that file, instead it ran the default ROMCleaner.txt

I just bought an microsd and inserted into the phone. Do you want me to remove it and re-simulate the issue? But under internal/ external ROMCleaner folder, there isnt any .tar file with my logs although I ran log collection.

In the PM you sent me there is only screenshots of your external sdcard.

Make sure to locate the internal sdcard. (ex. /data/media/ or /sdcard)

Forgot to include the internal one. However I did locate to the internal one but it doesnt have the .tar file

Well that's most likely because you didn't run log collection without the external sdcard.

I'm not sure what u r asking specifically. Anyway for my case, I've got the 3 lines all removed (removed the #). No issues at all since.

I did run log collection without the external sd card.

I know it's there somewhere I just don't know how to find it while booted in to android.

Look in /storage/sdcard0/ROMCleaner

Tell me what directories you have in there.

My logs are here.

Those logs are from the external sdcard.

The thing with "Log Collection" is that I can see everything.

Path to the storage path
Default ROMCleaner.txt
ROMCleaner_user.txt
+ all logs

So if you flash ROM Cleaner with the external sdcard removed from the device it will use the internal sdcard. That means if you run the "Log Collection" the output will be created in (/data/media)/ROMCleaner/

If you insert an external sdcard and then flash ROMCleaner it will ignore the internal sdcard and store all logs etc in (/external_sd)/ROMCleaner/

That does not happen to me. I tried removing my SD card, run ROMCleaner, however it detects external SD at the initial page where I have to accept terms and condition, then I ran Log collection, and it states that it saved the log tar file in externalsd\ROMCleaner, however it is not there.

Not sure if anyone facing same issue as me. I know how ROMCleaner works and have ran them when I was using my HTC One X.

If you want please try this.

Remove the external sdcard, reboot in to recovery then connect your phone to your computer. Open cmd and CD to your adb.exe folder, then type:

adb shell
ls /

Copy the output and post it here.

    Guide & Info

    Guide For ROM Cleaner and Additional Tools!

    We did make an effort to make it as clear as possible on each AROMA screen. However it's always nice to know what the scripts do and when to use them...

    So let's start!

    Video review by TheSmokingAndroid

    Main Menu

    In our main menu you will find:

    * Backup Tool
    * ROM Cleaner
    --- ROM Cleaner
    --- Skip cleaning step
    * Additional Scripts
    --- Settings Restorer
    --- Setup Wizard Remover
    --- Apps & Mods Installer
    --- Run all scripts in one GO!
    * Logs collection
    * Advanced Power Menu

    Backup Tool

    Will backup:

    -*- Applications (Not app data)
    -*- Accounts (Settings - Accounts)
    -*- Bluetooth pairings
    -*- TocuhWiz launcher settings (and 3rd party widgets)
    -*- Mail accounts (including Inbox)
    -*- WiFi keys

    Important Note: Use this before flashing a new ROM flash with full wipe

    How to apply:

    --- Open ROM Cleaner AROMA and press "Backup Tool"
    --- When done, press "Power Menu" and "Exit" .... or whatever you want...

    ROM Cleaner

    Flashing procedure for pure ROM Cleaner users!

    -*- Flash a ROM with full wipe
    -*- Start ROM Cleaner AROMA and pick "ROM Cleaner"
    -*- Pick "ROM Cleaner" script, press Next
    -*- Next menu is optional (should be pretty clear)
    -*- Press Next again and wait until ROM Cleaner is done
    -*- Press Reboot and use your phone like normal

    Skip cleaning step

    If you use this option, nothing will be removed and you will still be able to restore your apps.

    Additional Scripts

    Important Note: Use this menu only after a full boot!

    * Settings Restorer > This script will restore data already saved with Backup Tool
    * Setup Wizard Remover > This script will remove the Setup Wizard
    * Apps & Mods Installer > This is a batch install script. Apps, mods, files in /extSDcard/ROMCleaner/SecondBoot will be installed when you use this script
    * Run All scripts in one GO! > This is a batch install for all scripts in this menu

    Logs Collection

    Use this option when we request logs from you.

    This script will collect all needed logs + "*user.txt" and create "RC_LogCollector.tar" in ROMCleaner folder. Upload this file and send it to us on XDA or IRC.

    Advanced Power Menu

    In this menu you will find the following options:

    * Reboot your device
    * Exit to Recovery
    * Enable Mobile Network

    How To Edit Your Personal User.txt

    Steps you need to do:

    --- Windows users, download Notepad++ and install it.
    --- Download "ROMCleaner_user.txt"
    --- Open the text file with Notepad++

    In the text file you will find two columns with app names and a description in this guide we use AdobeReader.apk as an example.

    To Remove a file with ROMCleaner

    Code:
    AdobeReader.apk         Adobe Reader PDF reader

    In the case above "AdobeReader.apk" will be removed.

    To keep a file with ROMCleaner If you decide to keep it, add a "#" at the beginning of the line:
    Code:
    [COLOR=Red]#[/COLOR]AdobeReader.apk         Adobe Reader PDF reader

    Let's say we are done with the edits. To continue just complete next list:

    --- Press the "X" in the upper right corner of the screen to save the changes.
    --- Copy the file onto your extSDcard. The file must be located in "/internal or external sdcard/ROMCleaner" folder.

    Now ROM Cleaner script will always read that file!

    Easy?
    Yes? Good because this is and should be easy ;)

    Enjoy!
    4
    thanks! it seems to be very usefull :D

    If you ask me, then yes it's very useful :D :p

    I hope you will like it as well. Please leave feedback after you have tried it ;)
    4
    I ran twice in order to understand all of its features. I love the backup tool with third party applications. ..due to my tons of widget. ..and home screen settings. Actually I do not have any bloatware so the cleaner runs and doesn't clean anything of course, but it is fully customizable and when I will Flash next rom I will use your cleaner for sure.
    It is very fast!

    Inviato dal mio GT-N7100 con Tapatalk 2

    Thanks for your feedback!

    The more you understand about it, the more you will like it ;)
    Because we really put a lot of stuff in there that are very useful as long you use it as we designed it to be used.

    The cleaner part takes only 1sec no matter if you remove 1 app or 300 apps :D

    BTW, did you look at the video review?
