Did any one know how to unlock bootloader my w8?? I can't using unlock bootloader that x8 using, because the version not same..

as i know,w8 user also can unlocked safely with it but be sure ur date code is below 11W29.

unfortunately,its too risky for above 11W28 date code.the percent is too small(some ppl claim have succeed).btw i heard there are paid apps(not sure)for unlocked newest motherboard.

There is a thread on these forums about unlocking our dear bootloader after the famous date but its hard to do it and it is done the hardware way aswell as by software. I will send you the link after I turn on the PC

Well my was 11w29. Unlockd safe via flash tool.

O an yea if u wana unlockboot loader on ur w8, first flash any rom .so dat wen u use flashtools ur 4n is detectd as x8 not w8. Unlockbootloader at ur own risk:good:

I Have Sony Ericsson W8 Walkman and i have success to unlock bootloader.
My Mobile Manufacture Date is 11W34..
I success unlock my bootloader without any problem.

is it possible to root and install recovery without unlocked bootloader
because i rooted and installed recovery without any bootloader unlocking process :silly:

of course.
you only need unlocked bootloader to flash custom kernels, you can do all the others without fear...

If you try there are high chance you will hard brick you device.
