I replaced my stock media with that of hyperion 9 media(full folder)
Will it change the notifications..ui and all that sounds to that of hyp 9???

But it didnt ....instead my sound went off ...no click sound ..battery charging sound.....etc....
It comes for some secs and vanishes away ...
Y so?? I did everything properly ...

1) Have you set permissions to rw-r--r--?
2) Make sure that the filenames of the Hyperion audio files match those of the stock audio files.

Other than that, I'm not too sure...
Rebooting might help, but that is not guaranteed.

I've set permissions to rw....from r/o
And i've named it xactly the same......can u snd me the ss of the audio clip(.ogg format) so that i can c d names...
And when we zip hyp 9 these only come in media...that time it works ...
Idk ...any sol??

The build.prop sets the default for your ringtone media and alarm

for example

Code:

ro.config.ringtone=Over_the_horizon_Default_ringtone.ogg
ro.config.notification_sound=13_Whistle_Default_message.ogg
ro.config.alarm_alert=Alarm_Buzzer.ogg

you can use this app to manually replace other system sounds if the file names are different or its not working

you can also clear delvik cache in cwm and fix permissions

I have changed notification sounds...ringtone etc...
Bt system sounds ....i tried ... And nw no sound....i cant hear sys sounds...
Thats wat m asking...

root browser (playstore)
long press file
set permissions
rw-r-r (tick the correct boxes)

each and every file

thats why its better to flash them in cwm because then you can set the permissions in one go in the updater script

depends - if new files yes - if just changing a permission maybe not - depends if the file is pre loaded - always best to restart after making changes
