Re: [KERNEL][ICS] Vengeance [1.36][23/02/13]

With kernel 1.36 i just got a reboot when gaming, for normal use i think it's good, but if you do something that use gpu more than the basic, you 'll get a reboot.

You getting reboots without oc?

Are you using any Script(s)?
If yes try to remove it first then flash the kernel.
And if that works, try to install the script(s) again. :)

@Rachit Rawat: you suggested to use v1.32 for tipo(st21i), but I can't find it in the download link...
can you tell me whether v1.36 is stable or not for tipo, because last time I used v1.34 with gimlo 0.2 & I got reboot problem...
Can I use v1.36 with stock rom(.22) without any reboot???

Please suggest me...

Then how come we still get random reboots?

Hi,i did a little test yesterday night, i'm still using the kernel 1.32.

The problem is the temp of the gpu part of the SoC.

You can try to run a test with GPU-T @ the highest settings with the Cpu @1ghz with performance governor. When the temp is over 25/30° the phone will reboot.

I think it's not a voltage problem.

The best settings i found are 122/825 OndemandX. Good battery life,no reboots at all for me.

Is there some temp limit that resets it?Wow.

    F.A.Q's :-

    1. Is this working on blah blah?
    > I don't know. Do some research. Keep the disclaimer in mind.

    2. OMG! My device rebooted/crashed/exploded?
    > Get me the logcat.

    3. Battery drains like hell. WTF?
    > Not kernel problem. It's your apps that are waking up device from deep sleep. Check the wakelocks. I don't build kernels to worsen battery life. See here for more info.

    4. Signal is dropping since I flashed the kernel?
    > Again. Not the kernel problem. Check if you have latest ( and proper ) baseband for your device.

    5. Will it root my device ?
    > Yes! It will automatically root your device with latest su.

    6. App FC's or something crashes?
    > Try reinstalling app again. Give me logcat if problem persists.

    7. Does this kernel has X or Y mod?
    > Do some research. Check thread, repo, commits etc.

    8. Which governors/IO-schedulers to use?
    > Depends on your usage. I recommend ondemandX + SIO. See here for more info.

    9. I need more info on something?
    > You can find all answers here

So i was checking sony's latest source release for J. The new kernel is 3.4 and most probably jelly bean.
I am pushing source to my github and will begin working on it.
Mesona and Tapioca/Dual will get the kernel too.
    Thanks
