Hi people, finally there is saved editor for FF3.

Please be informed its for ROOTED PHONE ONLY and its in chinese word, and the interface is as easy as ABC, but all the Weapon/Item is in chinese, hope somebody can translate to english :)

Can you upload ur savenin since the program dosent work for me i tryed to change it but everything stay the same.

I tried edit using RESSCOPE and cannot found the chinese word to translate...

So I hope somebody can edit this app and translate everything to english version...

anybody?

it worked for me but I can't seem to overwrite my save files after that. whenever I load the game it would be the same saves I had after I hack it. it won't load the saves I had after that. and I don't think I can finish the game in one go up to that point. I also tried deleting the save.bin after I had load it, save again and restart but all I got are blank saves. help me anyone.

Please check file permission, rw rw r is the correct one.

Well i did took my save file into that program the topic says and edited all and then i picked the new files he create and renamed them as save.bin and put it again on game folder but when i loaded it its was exactly the same save i has. Isent this the way its suposed to do? If not please tell me how.

Did u read the almost last post?

After edited u need set the file permission to rw rw r or rw rw rw!

how to with Titanium Backup & 7zip

1; with Titanium Backup backup the game
2; conect phone/tablet to pc
3; find the backup com.square_enix.android_googleplay.FFIII_GP
4; open with 7zip or winrar
5; find save.bin
6; extract or copy out save.bin
7; open FF3Editor.exe
8; open save
9; edit a few things
10; save
11; open com.square_enix.android_googleplay.FFIII_GP with 7zip and place save.bin and overwrite old file inside the com.square_enix.android_googleplay.FFIII_GP file (winrar woulnt work)
12; restore the data in Titanium Backup
13; enjoy

    I finally got around to finishing up v4 last night. Kameo has been working on the new editor, so we are releasing v4 to tide you guys over till he is able to get the new one ready.

    In v4, everything should be translated, with the exception of that error message that BryanSo posted a few pages back. I have never gotten the message, so I am having issues tracing it, and testing to see if it's fixed.

    If you find anything that is not translated, please pm me. I have double checked everything, so it should all be done.

    Ok guys, this mini tut is aimed at Keylan, but i find it more clever to post it here for everyone to understand some of the trick i used.
    Remember, that's only the last part of the game, all hard work was done before...
    Enjoy or not, anyway don't flame and sorry for the pics, i made it quick.

    Here's a quick and dirty tut to get you started for hex/pointers editing.
    Keep in mind that you have to use it on my latest app (v0.3), it'd be easier for you to follow.
    Remember, that's just to get you started, reversing an app, is far more complicated.

    Anyway, install olly and run it .
    Once you load your app within ollydebug, you can right click on the left topmost window (CPU Window, The one with all the dissasembled code, jmp short xxx, move eax and so on).

    Then right-click anywhere on this window and select 'SEARCH FOR' -> 'All referenced text strings'.

    You'll get to a listing of some Ascii strings.

    Double click on "Knife" to get to where it loads it within the app's code.

    So back on the previous picture which shows the CPU Window...

    On the right side you can see 'Case 3EB of switch xxxxx', it means, that the app check some save.bin bytes against an items array.
    Now remember that list i posted over at paste.bin (http://pastebin.com/Q6Gij7gA)?
    Check the "Dagger" item array code :D
    The hardest part was to get that list working :-/

    So, if the bytes = $3E9, then it's a Knife, if it's $3EB then a Dagger, $3ED is a Mythril Knife and so on.
    The trick is, we can tell the app whatever we want, WE'RE the ones in charge.
    On the same window, you can see 'mov edx, test.0052053c', it means, get what's located at $52053c ("Knife")and put it in the edx register.
    For our job to be done, we need to patch that line with the address of our new pointer.

    Exemple:
    If our unicode string is located at, let's say $520123, and our translated string is located at $520ABC.
    We'll have to edit the line "mov edx, test.00520123" to "mov edx, test.00520ABC"
    To do this, click on the text "mov edx, test.00520123", a popup will appear, just edit with the new address of the translated string.
    Click 'Assemble', and then 'Cancel' in order to edit only one line (otherwise, you'll mess up the code).

    Hurray, we just edited 1 single pointer...
    One down, all the rest to go :-/
    Hopefully i've already done some :D


    This is assuming we already have found room to add our translated strings in the app.
    I added two sections to the app (so it's a little bit bigger) in order to be free from the app little room left.

    Once everything is done, right click on the CPU Window (left topmost one) -> 'Copy to executable' -> 'All modifications'.
    (Just click 'Copy all', it's faster).
    If you get some error messages, then your editions will not work, you have to find another cavecode to hold your translated string.
    Right click again, 'Save file' with another name, andtry to run it to see if it works the way you wanted.
    You could also run the app within OllyDbg, but i find it quicker this way.
    That's it... hit me if you need some more help.
