OmniROM is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 4.4 (Kitkat), which is designed to increase performance, reliability and features over stock Android for your device. It's also about options, which is the beauty of Android.

Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
 * Your warranty is now void.
 *
 * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
 * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
 * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
 * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
 * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you. Hard. A lot.
 */

OmniROM is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts.

All the source code for OmniROM is available in the OmniROM Github repo.

If you're going to reuse our work, which we're doing for free, be fair and give proper credits.
This is the only payment we're really demanding and we deserve it to be mentioned because of the countless hours we've put into this project.
Open-Source doesn't mean Out-of-Respect!!!

Thank you. Is this official? Are you the official device maintainer?
I'm asking because I know nightlies have been out for about a week now but there hasn't been a single word about it and it was somewhat hidden from other users.

Also I understood that WIFI isn't working if you are using the new .97 radio - does the issue still exist?

Yes this is. @XpLoDWilD and I are currently maintaining Mako. We just forgot to make a thread heh.

I don't have the .97 radio on my phone right now, so I can't verify. Should be working fine though. Got a logcat?

Not right now, I'll test it tomorrow though.
Unless taking a logcat isn't just the adb command "adb logcat", keep in mind I need to learn how to do that :)... If someone else can volunteer that would be great.

Hey guys, can't get past the Google logo. I got the latest everything and I wiped everything, followed guide etc.. I'm just not sure about my recovery. CWM TOUCH 6.0.4.4 is that good enough?

    On behalf of the OmniROM team, I'd like to wish everyone a merry Christmas! Thank you for your support. :)

    I just installed OmniROM, coming from the too Chinese MIUI. In printscreen I saw "clear all recent apps" button, but when I open recent apps, I don't see it?? This is a button I use a lot, but is missing in stock Android... Why don't I see it?

    Settings -> More... under interface -> Clear all button

    Android 4.4.1 has been merged, next nightly will have it. HOWEVER, this also means that there's a chance that some things might be broken in the next nightly, so proceed with caution. If anything does arise, please give us time to sort it out.
