just tried this, it worked! I previously had baseband dated 23februari, and had very bad call quality sometimes. I will test if it's any better now...
Maybe worth to mention, but if you flash this baseband your phone gets a hard reset, so you will loose all your settings and apps!

Any way to update baseband without resetting the phone to factory setting?

Or to flash the radio drivers via CWM

My first post here on the forum (which btw is a really great one)

Just wanted to thank the author of the thread for an awesome update and an easy guide. I had problems with really poor call quality - like hearing someone talking into a can with lots and lots of amplification. After the update my phone (..0223 baseband) became normal so no more asking the caller to repeat them self 2-3 times.

Thanks again.

Wrong md5 checksum

I'm getting the wrong md5 checksums for SmartFlash drivers and the Baseband 1035.21_20110315. I tried downloading several times with no luck. How can i make i work?

@opusheks

What's your point? I see the similar problem but not the solution?

djmcnz writes: "Mine is also: 9B6F600CFA9F528595E5106305770448
And it failed halfway though and has broken my radio. I now have baseband ver: "unknown" and no radio function at all.
"

I really don't want to experience that.

Maybe someone could upload the files again with the correct md5 checksum?

I got the same result as djmcnz, and it worked just fine...

Just ask Paul on the Modaco board to post the sums again to be sure.

    How did this fix!? I'm having the same problem I can't solve it. :( I re tried twice to no avail.

    When connected
    go to start -> run -> devmgmt.msc
    expand COM ports
    Go to the properties for the LG COM Port
    change to a different baud rate, i think set it to one step lower.

    Thanks a lot my friend.

    Just a question because I have not understand fully what is going on with the rils yet. Should I get the signed version or the unsigned, what is the difference? I guess I update with the cwm, right?

    The unsigned zip is meant for u to extract it from the zip and manually place to /system/lib to replace the existing ril.

    The signed zip is meant to flash from clockwork recovery.

    You didn't quote all of what I posted... :)

    Immediately after that comment I said a brute force method (3 or 4 attempts) eventually worked... try that.
