[q] latin america lg g2 version - d805

Hi guys.

I recently bought here, in Brasil, a lg g2 and after a little search here, i hadn't found any rom for this version of g2 (D805 - Latin America). Wich version of g2 is equal to mine? Is there here any guide that explain the diferences and similarities among the versions? Can i flash any rom?

I've been reading about this and 802's roms seems fit well in our 805. I'm not sure if 4g (lte) will work properly cause, 802 uses a diferent band.

You have dealt with any? The last version stock is the 4.2.2?

The last stock avaible for me is the 4.2.2. But seems kit kat is comming for korea. I haven't flashed any rom in my g2, cause i didn't received it yet. :crying:.

I've started this topic because i searched in and found nothing. I would like to know if it's possible flash 802's roms and then flash 805's (Modem/Radion) on top. to solve any incompatibilities.

As soon as i have my device in hands i'll test if 4g (LTE) works properly after flashing a 802's CM rom on it, but seems that CM works fine for us.

In order to make this topic informative and help the others, i ask you guys to share here any information or tests made by you with the roms that works on our devices.

I'm running D802. Most ROMs nowadays doesn't flash modem, so we should be fine.
The only difference lies on the 700MHz and 1700MHz bands, which in the D802 is 800MHz and 1800MHz, and on our D805 is the aforementioned pair. Both D802 and D805 have 2600MHz, which is currently our 4G. I'm using 4G 2600MHz on a D802 ROM on my D805. Only time will tell what will happen when 700MHz 4G comes around here. I don't think it wouldn't work.

But make sure your chosen ROM doesn't flash a modem, otherwise you'd have to flash your stock modem in order to have the original bands back.

Oh by the way, it will most likely be in a constant loop in the initial setup, so after downloading a D802 ROM, before flashing, open it up on WinRAR (or your favorite .zip manager), dig for "LGSetupWizard.apk" and remove it from the zip.
It should be on system/app/ folder in the zip. Then flash and do the initial setup manually (login on accounts, setup device name, connect to the wifi etc etc..)

Tô usando uma ROM do D802. Maioria das ROM's hoje não instalam uma versão diferente do modem, então não tem problema pra gente.
A diferença é que o D805 tem 700MHz e 1700MHz ao invés de 800MHz e 1800MHz do D802. Ambos modelos tem 2600MHz, que é o nosso 4G brasileiro atual. Eu consigo rodar sem problemas 4G atualmente aqui no Brasil, com uma ROM do D802 no meu D805. Só o tempo dirá oq vai acontecer quando nosso 4G for 700MHz, o que deve acontecer ano que vem. Não acredito que não vá funcionar...

Mas certifique-se que a ROM que vc tá escolhendo não instala modem diferente, caso contrário vc vai precisar instalar um modem stock pra ter as frequências de volta.

E olha, provavelmente ele vai entrar em um loop constante no setup inicial, então após baixar uma ROM do D802, antes de instalar, abre ela no WinRAR (ou seu gerenciador de zip favorito) e procure por "LGSetupWizard.apk", e remova-o do zip.
Normalmente ele fica na pasta system/app do zip. Após remover, instale a ROM normalmente e faça o setup inicial manualmente (login nas contas, nome do dispositivo, conectar no wifi e etc..)

Eu tenho a possibilidade de comprar o D805 ou o D802 aqui no Brasil, qual você sugere que eu compre?
