I've had to do a factory reset from recovery mode twice because when this mode kicks in the phone gets stuck if I try to exit the mode

Extreme power mode problems

Next time this happens, all you have to do is click on the Phone option, then click on Settings, then hit the Back button on the screen, and it will take you to options, then goto Power settings disable the Extreme Power Savings mode.
