I should not update gmail or any Google service from the play store but from here correct?

Edit: also, to theme the calendar, should I delete and/or rename the files:

You'll never get any notifications to update... Google doesn't even know those apps are installed, it's not their signed version...

Touche. Hellybean fresh install, fresh flash of inverted apps gives inverted calendar, contacts, Facebook, had to swap the emails again but it's much more complete now with inverted calendar...:)

Can anyone confirm that the Contacts and MMS in this package work with Task's 4.2.2 ROM? These two, from Justin's Inverts, forced close.

Everything is working & looking great, except for contacts - they fc when I select any...
BTW, currently running CM10.1 2/18 nightly.
I did a full wipe & flash AND I confess up front, that I only skimmed through the thread. I did see an apk that someone had posted - but haven't had the chance to see if that fixes contacts for me.

Greatly appreciate the time & work that went into this!!

i wont lie i didn't even search this but just do me favor tell me are these newer then 2012?

I saw a post for newer gapps then 2012 there 2012 mixed with updated cam and other stuff... im confused though because Why arn't there newer gapps then 2012 on goo apps then? if repackaged can they be called gapps

anyways are these from 2012 mixed? in with newest inverts or are these just simply the newest of the newest plus inverted

Anyone got a clue what im saying? Im tired lol forgeting what I type as I type it.. oh oh :fingers-crossed:

Hmm...suddenly I am getting seeing updates for gmail and search in market app. Odd, usually that doesn't happen. Now I have to think back if I did something different when I updated to task's 2/15...

You're not the only one. I've "updated" gmail multiple times after flashing this. I'm not sure if it does anything - the latest update is from early December.

The only fix I have found it to use the contacts.apk included in the ROM and using a theme that inverts the contacts such as Blue Infinitum Inverted

This is why I recommend the theme so much... Sure it's a dollar or two, but it inverts the apps that typically causes issues with inverts... and also allows for them to be updated, yet inverted...

Had that problem too. Quasimodem helped me out. Just use a different Contacts.apk. I multi quoted the post so you can jump to the file attachment. Just replace the contacts.apk in the zip with the one you download from the post.

I removed the MMS app from the zip file and re-zipped the files.Reflashed ROM, Kernel and base Gapps then these inverts. I was stuck on the "Swagger" screen on Task's ROM. I believe it to be because I removed the MMS app?? Was I correct in just removing the apk or does something else need to be adjusted in coordination with removing an app?

    Flashing:

    ROMs with built-in App Inversion: Don't flash anything that the ROM can invert or else it will break that function

    If you're full wiping your phone and installing a ROM, this can be used in place of the regular gapps

    If you have any issues, full wipe the phone, and install the ROM and Inverts, installing no other gapps in between

    A full wipe is: Factory Reset, Wipe Cache, Wipe Dalvik, format /system, Flash ROM, Flash Inverts, Reboot

    OP is updated with an Aroma installer, and apps have been added or updated.

    Remember, SlimBean Users don't flash any apps inverted by TRDS, so don't select any system apps. Same goes for other ROMs with built-in inversion.
