hi all :highfive:
Well we have a little tutorial to root the phone XPERIA SOLA
Download and open the program Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v9
Connect phone to PC
USB Debbuging cases and USB Connection Mod is made
Open the program RunMe.bat
Type 1 and press Enter:eek:
Please wait ... go to phone the Restore option engaged
The phone will restart, please wait ...

the screen seems to blacken out for me :/ while running, it keeps saying that adb server is out of date :(

First flash the ROM 2.3.7
Then close your bootloader
Then you flash ICS ROM
Your problem will be solved

Bin4ry rooting method works flawlessly!

Although I think it would be nice to mention that this code is not made by you, but other guy in this forum.
And link to the original thread would be good too. Just saying..

It's updated to v 13 working on latest Xperia devices including Sola with latest su user and busy box n su binary in its original thread...
And one more thing PLEASE GIVE CREDIT TO THE DEV WHOM MADE IT RATHER TAKING THE CREDIT ALL BY YOURSELF AND POST THE LINK TO HIS THREAD!!

I believe that your intentions are good but getting credit for someone else work is just wrong.:silly:
You should probably request Bin4ry's permission before creating this thread...

Strange, I tried the v13 of bin4ry and my screen goes black! Everything wasn't rendered correctly and I had to do a factory reset to correct everything again. :(

    Same Problem here, with win7 64x.

    Solution:-
    - Get Sola driver zip from sonymobile developer (easy)
    - go to device manager -> select android device -> right click and update driver
    - "Browse my computer for driver software" -> "Let me pick from a list of device drivers..." -> "Show all Devices" -> "have disk" and select sa0104adb.inf file
    - Confirm driver installation and Voilá.

    1)Press 1 and enter
    2)all rooting tools will be pushed and a fake backup will be made
    3)a screen will pop up on your phone asking to restore the backup so u restore from phone...
    And it's done phone reboots keep it connected and the program will say it's done so disconnect reboot again

    Yes with rooting you can do pretty much tweaking including bloatware and many more
