Thanks to mailart from gfan.com.
He made it possible to flash Canada/US (Bell/AT&T) P930 Rom on LU6200/SU640, drivers all work properly, also he wrote a program to install cmw recovery on the LG LU6200.

-----------------------------------------

Following is a simple guide of the LG LU6200 root/recovery/patch(WIFI and Sensors) installation:

ALL Scripts DL (translated to english):
http://www.mediafire.com/?4oypmtl9k6402ss
or
http://115.com/file/be8imi4h

1) Root
Run Root_EN.bat to root your device.
Your phone will automatically reboot twice during this procedure.

2) Install cmw recovery
Run Recovery_EN.bat to install the cmw recovery on your rooted device.
How to enter cmw: Press volume- and power button when your phone is off, your phone will reboot and pause on the logo screen, then press volume+ to enter cmw (press volume- to do original wipe).

3) Flash and Patch US/Canada Rom

If your original rom version is 135, you'd better re-flash it back to 128, 135 may encounter never-ending rebooting problem after patching.
Click to see how to the flash back to 128

There are two ways to flash US/Canada Rom into your LG LU6200.

The first way (Recommended):
Download patched recovery backup files,
Canada version backup file uploaded by mailart: http://115.com/file/dpxchmdl
mirror uploaded by hoangnova: http://www.mediafire.com/?11dgxa1648i9g (SUM 7ac3c4714290f1473521c245e184ae5e)
Extract the files to tf card then enter cmw to restore your phone using these extracted files.
Don't forget to select your prefer language, this is a multi-language rom.
If there is any hardware function doesn't work, please try to run patch6200_EN.bat.

The second way:
cmw is not necessary for this method, but you have to root your device after flashing system.img
Download P930 system.img file:
Canada version P930 Bell (Recommended) DL: http://115.com/file/be8icmvc
mirror uploaded by hoangnova: http://www.mediafire.com/?ysn3sp362ew6t (SUM 0ad6159a85f1293944da2d7ba73edeb1)
or US version P930 Nitro HD DL:http://115.com/file/e7z58xht
Move system.img to the "Optional.FLASH_P930_SYSTEM.IMG" folder, check your tf card at least 1G free space.
run Flash_P903_EN.bat to flash system.img, run Root_EN.bat to root your device, then run patch6200_EN.bat to patch, it will fix WIFI and sensors drivers.

P.S. The second way also works for a rooted LG SU640, please run the corresponding .bat files.

:)ALL DONE.

----------

This thread will not be updated, sorry.
I think the methods of recovery and flashing backups are still usable for new roms.

Please read this article:

follow the "Flashing the SU-640 rom" to flash LU620128_00.kdz.
Rom download link: 115.com/file/e7zv3q5b

For the second way, why is Canada's version recommended?
It has a longer battery life.

Hi lucianopx,

Please try KDZ_FW_UPD.exe instead of UpTestEX_mod2_marwin.exe.

1)install the software below:
msxml.msi
LGUnitedMobileDriver_S4981MAN36AP22_ML_WHQL_Ver_3.6.exe
B2CAppSetup.exe (This one will automatically run LG updating after installation)

2)Quit LG updating program.

3)Run "Windows Enabler.exe", a small icon will display on your computer's right-bottom corner, click it, it will enable KDZ_FW_UPD.exe's buttons.

4)Press volume+ and power botton when you phone is off to enter "Download Mode", connect the phone with your computer.
Run KDZ_FW_UPD.exe, Choose:
type:3GQCT
phonemode:CS_EMERGENCY
and select your rom:LU620128_00.kdz (version 128 rom)
Click "launch software update"

Flash begins, please be patient, your phone will automatically reboot when the progress reaches 94, then shortly, it will reach 100, all done.

I got "UpTest..." problem when running KDZ_FW_UPD.exe, then I try to run it
under a fresh system (eg. Virtual Machine), it works.

I tried that before, but I just realized now my WindowsEnabler wasnt working for some reason (I tried several things, even windows xp compatibility, I'm running win7 64), now its working and the update started.

I got another problem now, the updater says it has difficulties trying to communicate with the phone. I just tried once, so I'll give it more tries, thanks anyway.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'll try that now, thanks

I finally made it! The procedure you described worked with the tools you provided. The only difference is that the KDZ_FW_UPD never ended, the last message was:
CDMA: wParam = 2001, lParam = 0
Model DLL Msg Not Found(2001,)

The phone rebooted and the original logo was there, however it was stuck on the logo, then I waited several minutes and just removed the battery and turned on again, then factory reset.

Now it seems to be back to the 128 with the original korean language :D

Try wipe, if it doesn't help, please try the first way - restore using a backup, it's easy and safe.
or flash a 128 original rom at first, then try the second way.
Many people succeeded in porting P930 rom to 128, but 135 mostly failed.

Yes, but please install cmw recovery and backup your phone at first.
mailart's patch can be used for most P930 custom roms.

Do you know any other methods to flash?
