Only known RUU names are given. You may find if you Google the name you will find additional info about RUU's.

Do not brick your phone, RUU and OTA are not always 100% safe for modded phones!

I am not a source for RUU files or other info. What you see in this thread is what I have found via MANY places on the internet.

I saw that you have added the O2 Germany OTA. Thank you!

I have found the 3.17.707.1 RUU for the Asian phones here. Is it the damaged one you mentioned in your OP?

I have tried numerous sources for 3.17.707.1. All appear damaged. The same is true for 2.33.162.2.
I think the user that leaked them had a bad upload in the first place and it has been replicated through anyone that has mirrored them.

If you can find a functional version, let us know

Can get the OTA file to flash on my One XL. Phone was previously S-OFFed and CID changed to 111111. Since then it has been S-ON and reflashed with an original RUU. When attempting to run OTA from the device, it would just prompt device has been tempered, please restore to factory settings and try again. What could be the reason ?

This ain't a help thread. Start a new thread plus when you do you are extremely thin of details about what you have flashed.

I have tried to download RUU_EVITA_UL_JB_45_S_hTC_Asia_WWE_3.17.707.1_Radio _0.23a.32.09.29_10.128.32.34a_release_298958_signe d.exe from that Chinese site and somehow I have got a 664.5 MB file. For me, the situation of this file seems strange. If I open this exe file and test it with 7zip, it reports some CRC error. If I run the executable file, it unpacks its contents and it does not complain about anything. I have copied the rom.zip file inside it and 7zip also reports some errors. From my experience, the setup executables do run without exception some file integrity check. The things get more strange: the rom.zip file doesn't start with the magic number (504B0304) like any zip file. I'm going to do more tests with another RUU, but I think HTC has started obfuscating the data in the RUUs.

What you are seeing is exactly what I have seen. The ruu fails signature verification when updating phones also so I do not believe Htc is trying to hide anything, the ruu is simply broken.

I think the file is corrupt in a way that allows it to run but the extracted data is junk.

There is another older ruu that suffers similar issues.
I think the ruu exe makes no effort to ensure the integrity of itself or its payload data.

I haven't reached the phone flashing phase to see the signature verification error. So 7zip has done the right thing telling me rom.zip was corrupted. Fortunately, there is a corruption check in the flashing process! It's kind of stupid the test is not done by the extracting program.

Does anyone have an updated mirror for these? I wanted to run an RUU on my device. Specifically this one: RUU_Evita_UL_Cingular_US_1.73.502.1_Radio_0.16.32. 09.01_3_10.79.32.08L_release_254931_signed.exe

Edit: It seems a quick google search yielded a different 1.73 RUU. I'll try this.

EDIT: I also take back that 3.17.707.1 is damaged.
It is encrypted, it does decrypt fine, appears healthy, but I can not get it to flash to my device, it always fails signature checks.

PS.
Vodafone France 3.17 is also out if anyone can catch that OTA link also.
Vodafone Germany apparently rejected their update due to bugs, I assume their JB is coming soon enough though and might end up as the most up to date version yet.

I have also removed a few of the junk version numbers that htcdev give for kernel releases and lined them up with actual public releases.

If anyone feels so inclined we are missing a handful of OTA links, namely the below. This has kind of become some kind of Pokemon game where I have to catch them all

I assume the best approached is to flash one of the old RUU's and work forwards with the updates. But maybe someone knows a better way.
More info about the Brightstar would be awesome also. Currently the only reference to the device is that HTC posted kernel source for it.
Google search results says perhaps Brightstar is a general distributor to some regions, but also that it may be a Latin America release of the Evita.
