* I am the creator of SkyHigh ROM for P6810 model and have decided to spare some of my valuable time to further help out our P6800 brothers and sisters. I DO NOT USE THIS DEVICE, and rely on YOU to give constructive feedback (good or bad) and let me know how you went.

* It took A LOT a lot of reading, research and trial & (many) errors to get to this stage, so I hope you like this official release and please rate the thread and my efforts accordingly. I take no claim to any mods in this build, and borrow ideas and tweaks from other sources. I just piece them together to make it work.

* You may modify this ROM for personal use, but I will not answer posts or PM’s regarding any related issues to this other than those options in Aroma Installer . Installation, Credits, Changelog & Download

How to Install :

Disclaimer: Flash this ROM and its mods/tweaks at your own risk. However unlikely, YOU are solely responsible for any potential damage to your device or data. Do not flash unless you know what you are doing, are capable of reading, following instructions and using ADB or Odin to help recovery of a soft brick.


1. Require a custom recovery such as CWM or TWRP (suggest TWRP to prevent/reduce Aroma freezing during install - refer post #3)
2. Backup User apps and data with Titanium Backup Pro app or other method
3. Save ROM to internal sdcard
4. Boot into custom Recovery
5. NANDROID BACKUP & KEEP COPY ON PC !!
6. Avoid BRICK-BUG (thanks to Androguide.fr) : If you do not have THE SAME BASE currently installed, complete ALL Step #6 (a-d) before proceeding

a) Do NOT wipe anything
b) Flash the v4.0.2
c) Reboot recovery
d) Factory Reset​

7. Flash v4.0.2 (select wipe data option) and reboot
8. Be patient, first boot will take a while !
9. Initial setup & check install “unknown apps” in phone settings
10. Restore User apps and data from Titanium, Wi-Fi settings etc (GREEN & YELLOW normally OK)
11. DO NOT restore any SYSTEM apps or data in RED colour with Titanium Backup
12. Reboot, setup accounts (if not restored in Step #9/10) & allow the ROM to “bed in”

* If you experience any issues with the ROM, Factory Reset & flash immediately ROM again and check BEFORE doing anything else

* I don’t have the time to help posts in this thread unrelated to the ROM and if you have not followed any of the above instructions!

* If any app fails to install correctly in data/app (0 bytes) : Delete using a root explorer app, boot into recovery and wipe dalvik-cache, then download required app fresh from Google Play instead

* Asus Day Scene live wallpaper has no animations. Please reboot device after "Set wallpaper"

Will flashing this ROM wipe my data? :


* NO it won't wipe your data, but data wipe is a requirement in Aroma to ensure a bug free device. Just backup data and nandroid first.

* Installer will auto wipe : system, cache, dalvik-cache & preload

* If updating from a different ROM or android build/version, it is a requirement that you follow the installation instructions fully in Post #2 and read the notes below it!

* Latest script : V6_SuperCharger_for_Android-Update9_RC12_Test_6.sh

* XXLQG ROM is now 100% SuperCharged

* The V6SuperCharger scripts and other files are cooked into the ROM and will run on boot

* Selecting V6SuperCharger in Aroma will SuperCharge the ROM out-of-the box. There is no need to touch anything !

* Unless,........ you have flashed a custom kernel after ROM installation. This may "break" V6SuperCharger and fail to run properly. Just run the script again that is saved in the Starter Kit found on your internal sdcard. Script Manager will help take care of that.

* Don’t add your own memory or kernel tweaks or PimpMyROM tweaks etc as this will most likely conflict and reduce performance. In any case V6SuperCharger is the only way to go !! (believe me, I'm been constantly tweaking and testing)

* If you wish to modify V6SuperCharger settings to your own, just use script manager and run the scripts that were installed to: mnt/sdcard/ SuperCharger_Starter_Kit. Don’t ask how, but follow the instructions found in zeppelinrox thread or Google for them.


Requirements for effective running (They are installed together with V6SuperCharger via Aroma Installer, so don't update them) :

* Modded busybox v1.19.4 by and binary BY wraithdu
* Superuser app (SuperSU v0.97 wouldn’t work)
* DO NOT RUN WITH OTHER 3rd PARTY TWEAKS !! Let V6SuperCharger do its thing
* Flashing V6SuperCharger in Aroma will wipe your existing init.d scripts and replace your build.prop tweaks!! Don’t worry, this is all you need

* Will more language support be added? NO, I am not a translator, and only if the newer base released by Samsung natively supports it !


Video & HDMI out :


* You tell me HDMI out to external display should work as released by Samsung

* Natively, not all video codecs are compatible through stock video player. You may need to install a codec supported video player app from Google Play. Try without the ARMv7 add-on first

* You also need a Galaxy Tab™ HDTV Adapter + HDMI cable + power supply for the tab + HDMI enabled TV or display


Battery Life & Performance :


* Give the ROM time to build its caches and “bed in” etc.


* Battery % reporting may need to be re-calibrated
1. Use your device to NEAR zero % (ie. 2%)
2. Fully recharge uninterrupted
3. Unplug when 100%

* Actual drain really depends on your own configuration, and has nothing to do with this ROM.


Some Tips :


* Lower screen brightness and time-out

* Check apps running in background, unneeded auto-starting apps, auto-sync, GPS, wifi, rogue apps etc
BetterBatteryStats is a good app for checking wakelocks.

* Remove or freeze unwanted System apps (bloatware), disable animations (you will lose CRT off animation until re-enabled), motion etc


Mods & Apps :


* I have not seen or measured any negative impact to ROM performance or stability on my P6810 model (or reported by P6800 User during test phase), so any potential improvement (no matter how slight), is still an improvement.

* Any in-depth discussion is to be addressed in the respected threads, links are in found in the Credits & OP


AC!D Audio Mods :


* AC!D Audio Mod "bug" - Selecting sound enhancments from the walkman menu may FC

* May give better sound from speaker or various quality ear/headphones
1. menu/settings/music effects/music effects control panel → select your equalizer, ie Noozxoide (not for walkman)
2. Check the thread HERE for Q&A
3. Your existing equalizer may not be compatible or cause issues. This should be uninstalled before flashing (but the data wipe should have taken care of that!)


AGPS :


1. Open internet connection
2. Use "GPS Status" app (menu/tools/manage agps state/download) and then wait for first fix.
3. ++ After that, subsequent fixes should be much faster ++
4. Try and see how location locks in Maps

Maybe in future. I will be pursuing further development of all SkyHigh ROMs using and configurable with Aroma installer though. Never say never, but would be very far down on my list.

Not sure what your issue could be as nobody else reported this issue yet . Did you factory reset immediately before flash?

Will take a look at the files later today to see if I made an error somewhere.

Just working on my P6810 ROM, so when done, can transfer a lot of that work here in future releases fairly easily.

Only problem is testing for errors from decompiling / recompiling. So feedback will be needed when the time comes.
