You could be right there. I've cleared contacts and contacts storage which got rid of the force close issues but I locked my phone, came back to it 10 mins later, and it was dead.

Hmmm - scary...
I did a FULL WIPE and Flash of LP9 in the end yesterday.
And right now, trying to send my partner a text, I pulled my phone out, pressed the home key to light it up, and nothing...
Tried the same with power, and nothing...
Eventually I worked out my phone was DEAD, and I had to power it on.
Oh great... that's not good! And this was from a full WIPE then flash..
So LP9 is ill, or one of the apps I use, doesn't like LP9 it would seem...
Not good to see its not just me...

I did Cache clearing and Dalvik cache clearing, deleted all the data from phone, and contacts, deleted contacts...still the dialer forced closed by the (fault of) contacts...so still same error message.
Sometimes it's unbelievable...cannot be so tricky to release a working Phone firmware where the PHONE function is working....
Poor people that got this via Kies and connot downgrade any more....
AGREED - see my reply to OP where I say the same - that I'm seeing me pull out my phone to find it powered off (no battery issue, just powered off) when running LP9 after a full clean wipe install too!

yea,
it seems lp9 has a huge bug with the contacts that's causing fc issues. I gave it a 2nd chance and after clearing contacts and contacts storage under applications all seemed fine, but then my phone decided to shut itself down.
The last straw was when i realised spb shell 3d was beefing like crazy...
Back to a nice and stable lp8 thanks.
likewise here too
