Greetings fellow android enthusiasts,
I've got a tricky question for those of you who may deem yourselves as experts. I just recently used the towelroot and have been enjoying my rooted Verizon Note 3 (KT49H.N900VVRUCNC4 on KK 4.4.2 w/ APEX Launcher) for the last week ... I'm not 100% on the italicized portion. I did manage to trip KNOX some how, but I wasn't worried about that at the time since I understand this just voids the warranty. Perhaps I was a bit too eager to use all of its new features.
Anyways I have been waiting to do ROM flashing until someone had come out with a video demonstrating a stable build, but have done some searching with ROMinstaller, GOOmanager, etc. I downloaded a couple different ROMS to have on for when I felt ready.
But, today I restarted my phone in the regular Samsung dialogue (also, using APEX launcher) and it came to a screen which I am having trouble getting out of:
When I use vol+home+power (and release power button after entering Samsung boot screen) OR when I just hold power button for restart:
(Italicized in White Font)
Could not do normal boot.
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SM-900V
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom
KNOX KERNEL LOCK: 0x0
KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 0x1
QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE (CSB)
RP SERV: S1, T1, R1, A3, P1
WRITE PROTECTION: Enable
UDC START
(picture of cool android dude)
Downloading...
Do not turn off target!!!
AND
When I use UPPER vol+home+power (and release power button after entering Samsung boot screen) I get the same screen except it briefly flashes:
RECOVERY BOOTING
AND THEN
EXACT SAME LIST AS ABOVE
I am able to reach the Verizon Wireless Caution screen after hard reset and using the lower vol+home+power
Warning!!
-----------------------
A custom OS can cause critical problems in phone and installed applications
If you want to download a custom SO, press the volume up key.
Otherwise, press the volume down key to cancel.
-----------------------
Volume up: Continue
Volume down: Cancel (restart phone)
-----------------------
But no matter whether I press vol up/vol down I reach the same screen as I mentioned in the very beginning above.
This happens with stock/aftermarket batteries, whether plugged in via AC or DC charging elements (i.e. whether it is hooked up to computer or not) and with or without my SD card.
I have made Titanium backups, SafeStrap and I think one other ... but I am not sure how to access them to reboot and reflash the stock firmware.
Any suggestions? .... I would greatly appreciate it .... I will update with any progress I've made
*UPDATE
Okay ... so ... Sorry for that long post and this quaint comment, but I was able to reboot stock firmware from the basics in an earlier tutorial on youtube titled "HOW TO UNBRICK & UNROOT SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 3" by Jared Busch
