Another great question is can we use the Nexus 4 orb with a QI receiver and a couple thin magnets (solder a wire from the board to the gold contact of course).
-edit- ordered 2 1000mah QI receivers and 2 GN4 charging pods. I won't get my QI receivers for about a month though from China
where did you order the QI pads? do they fit under the stock battery door without making things look ridiculous?
I have done a powermat wireless charging on our beloved Note 2 here:

Wait, how did you get the wireless notification to pop up on your tmobile note ii?

The linked thread is in the N7100 forum, so he's not using our device.I'm pretty sure judging by that pop up and his battery cover that he has an n7100, not t889...

So it looks like there are plenty of Qi pads out there for the N7100 variant of the Note 2. Who in here has got that working? Seems like it would just be the same thing with different tech.
You can use the Qi receiver, but it has the same issue as any other receiver, you need to make that connection or it won't work. Bummer that TMO gimped it.

Hey everyone, I continued trying to solder a wire to the connection on the USB board and due to my inexperience and foolishness I ended up shorting something and it kept sparking (thankfully I had the USB board separate from the phone) so I don't trust the USB board anymore. I looked extensively online for a T-Mobile specific replacement and couldn't find one but found an almost identical one for the N7105 on eBay. I decided to order it to try out and it just arrived. I eagerly tore my phone apart and installed it and BAM the phone starts up and charging works great. This obviously doesn't help with wireless charging but if something happens to the board it's nice to have a replacement option.
It took about 9 days to arrive to me in California. Here's the link if anyone is interested:

I'm using the green Qi receiver from Ebay, and Metrans MWT02 transmitter.
After the mod, didn't work well couple times, the charging stop after 10-15 minutes, maybe because it got too hot, I can feel the back cover is a bit more than warm. Maybe it got something to do with the metal plate for my I Magnet, removed the plate, and able to charge at least for an hour and I took it off to check the battery charged from 48% to 62%, didn't feel warm at all.
Here ya go! Keep in mind that this is my wireless volt mod (as in, the way I did it) and as such, any improvements are welcome! I'm very happy with the mod so far. The phone did a full charge over night with no problems. It was very nice just to pick it up off the touchstone this morning! But as usual do this at your own risk! The person doing the mod should be reasonably proficient at soldering small joints. Just be careful and this will work for you. Instructions are on the JPG! Any questions please ask! Verified working on the stock kernel and stock charger. :good:Please do. I might do the same thing... I have lots of touchstones and a couple Note2's that need some inductive lovin'!

Circuit Pens not recommended for this mod. Grounding issues and reliability issues with conductive pens. To answer your question directly, I have tested with my conductive pen and it is difficult to maintain a path for any significant distance. These pens are probably good for minor repairs though, just not this mod. The path is pretty long and even if a conductive pen could be used, the risk of shorting is pretty high. It may be possible to use conductive tape, but reliability issues are likely.Did anyone tried the "CircuitWriter Pen"?
I have one and I am tempted to try it.
Here is what I'm talking about:
