Its there a way to put all the apps in the app drawer in alphabetical order? Mine is for the most part, but some of my apps aren't in order.

Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App

Decided to unfreeze Go Launcher today after LauncherPro got stuck in an FC loop on me. I gotta say, this launcher is coming along really well since I last played with it a few weeks ago. With scrolling and resizable widget support now implemented, it's at a point I'm going to try it as my main launcher.

So far I like the speed and polish.

My only issue thus far is that when switching to landscape mode with a 5x4 layout, the widgets tend to overlap each other a bit. LauncherPro has managed to correct this, but Go Launcher does redraw the layout switch much faster.

-edit-
One other thing I've noticed: if I long-press the menu button to bring up the search screen, Go Launcher crams all the widgets from the current screen (including the dock) into the half-screen space visible above the keyboard (using HTC_IME), and I can't get the search textbox to actually appear in order to perform a search.

An excellent one, except for the fact that it doesn't have its own widgets (Messages, Mail, Facebook, People, and Twitter), unlike LauncherPro.

I'm running them both now, hopefully the op does include these in the next update.

Edit: Some snapshot to illustrate what I'm talking about.

Sorry if this is already included but I have a suggestion.

Ive always though a great idea for a launcher would be some sort of interoperated system to separate games and apps from each other.

Maybe a left swipe would bring up your games selection and right would bring up your apps.

Now I know you can do this manually by adding the icons to the left and right panels of a launcher but some sort of system for adding them upon installation would be good also.

I like it, would be nice if the "icon pop-up menu" could be assigned to a swipe movement as well as long press does'nt work all that well on all phones.

And I for one likes that it does'nt have a bunch of bloat such as widgets.

Direct uninstalling from appdrawer like the TouchWiz launcher from Samsung does would be cool. :)
Of course it would acquire root..

Tried it today, I think it's a launcher with loads of potential. If this can turn out to be the MIUI experience in a launcher app it will be awesome. Just some suggestions for going in that way:
- App icons in uniform shapes, this is wat MIUI does: Take the app icon, and put it in a nice rounded shape automatically. It creates the iPhone effect and it looks great. May be hard to realize in a launcher.
- Grid placement of widgets and apps: In MIUI, you get to see a grid on each homescreen so you have an idea of where the app/widget is placed, not just somewhere on that screen.
- apps always on homescreen: Again, very much iPhone-like. Apps will be placed on the homescreen after install and can't be removed. No app drawer is needed.

Of course, all these things should be able to get turned on/off in the preferences section. Again, this app has so much potential, try to get some inspiration from sense, iphone and MIUI! :D

Looking forward to hearing from you

When you set the app drawer to vertical scrolling it's way smoother then horizontal imo, been using this for the past two weeks.

I just started playing around with this and the only thing that I can suggest is Widget Overlapping. It isn't extremely useful for many widgets, but is nice to have...especially for SiMi Clock Widget.

Edit*
Also some way to Export/Import settings. It would be helpful for those of us that like to try different setups without having to redo everything.

Hi,

I installed the launcher on my Galaxy S. I't a great app until now, it has almoust all the cool things from launcher pro and plenty of extra cool things.
My request and probably many other users too is a backup/restore feature. I hate to spend hours to customize my homescreens and app folders and after a ROM reinstall to have to do it again (I have an android blog and I have to reintall the phone many times to test roms and make reviews).

Thanks ;)

Easy way to do it now is with Titanium Backup...but an in app option is ideal.

Yup. please think about this option. Really needed.

Works perfectly on KaosFroyo v38 w HTC Eris phone

The only issue I see besides backup of settings is the long time to load when adding a shortcut to the dock or the window screen... but that happens on Launcher Pro as well.... :| why not load the App Drawer instead or something? [yes, the faster method is currently going into App Drawer and dragging a few times to the screen.] or have an option to disable it as sometimes we do hard press accidentally [or when lag appears] :)

Looking Good!

Also like the Task Killer built in to App Drawer. Resizing Widgets works exceptionally well (feature supported free as well!).

Very similar to LP in many respects.

Only negative, I could not seem to use a Custom Dock!

(perhaps I overlooked something here in my brief usage).

Well done to the developer.
