What makes you say that? After the explosion there should be a little space on each side of "CyanogenMod 9". I'm also qHD (540x960), works well on mine.
Edit: saw you got it figured out.
I found the resolution for this, but I'm afraid it will look stretched and not very good if I try to adapt it for a tablet. I'm no image expert.

Is there a chance a version can be made for the Touchpad? I've tried the 720x1280 just to see how it would look, was perfect only it didn't fill the entire screen. I looked up the res and I found out it's 768x1024. I've messed with altering boots before so I'll see if I myself can, but still thanks if you're able to!

However, in desc.txt you have set part1 to loop 10 times.
At normal boot this is fine, but when doing a complete wipe the animation stops after a while (10 loops).
I think you should change it to 0=infinte loops.
(I have tested the 800*480 version, but maybe this applies to all?)

I've got the same problem, I wiped the Dalvik-Cache, and got a black screen, thanks for sharing the tip

204Here you go guys, I made my first ever boot animation today, it's the official CyanogenMod 9 animation from the official youtube video.
This is a much smaller file than the 60mb versions in the other thread. There's no visible loss in quality and the result is much smoother. These are 4-20mb.
Don't forget to hit THANKS . Please give credit if you use this elsewhere, but feel free to do so! I'd love to hear about it as well.
To install: Change filename to "bootanimation.zip" and move to /system/media with root explorer or similar. You may also have to copy to /data/local for this to work, but try it without first.
