Thank you for your consideration. Its just that I try to use as few Google services as absolutely possible and have never used Hangouts and don't want to have to use it just to get messages. I've tried a 3rd-party messaging app - I think it was related to Go Contacts or was part of their suite of apps - but it ended up being a lot of adware and was worse than the default one and actually buggy too.

I know the default one isn't the greatest but at least its free and works (never had any problems with it).

Yes hangouts looks shifty, but when I found out texting was crashing, I tried it and was amazed by the speed it has and it also has zero adware and such

Hangouts works much better than the base texting app for the 769. One of the few Google Apps I prefer

Probably around 8-9 p.m. Central Time...the edit didn't really go as planned and also, I have to switch out SD cards because I got a bigger one...Destiny Ps4 Beta for Mars is gonna get in the way as well

    Real childish bro.
    @Aethera
    MetroPCS is monitoring packet size and browser user agent.
    If you want to use the default tethering device you have to mask your browser's user agent. You must be tethering your laptop. You shouldn't have any problem tethering to a tablet or phone.
