Oh, and I heard my ICS theme works on this without issues.
Who would have thought?

ICS them works...minus the battery icons not being correct. Also shows the "H" and "3G" instead of the norm tmobile's "4g". I'm working on playing with those.

Huge thanks to OP for this.

I'm working on a debloated version.

Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium

SWEET! THANKS! I cant wait for it! I know this is not ICS and to some may not be as exciting as it is for me. I just wanted something to flash... I and I'm sure many of others have the flash bug where we need to flash a rom every so often to feel pleased lol. A debloated, de-odexed, zip-aligned rom HAS to be worth flashing... Its not ICS but hell its better than nothing since development for the T-869 is pretty much non existent until now. Hopefully a dev with kernel skills can bring that to the table for us and make it even better!

speaking of Tmobile Tab Plus...

anyone chat with a rep for an ICS date??

I'd be curious to see what they have to say.

maybe I'll do it later just for laughs.

no answer:

REP: Thanks for holding. I have checked and found no specific date or timeframe on when we will receive teh Android 4.0 upgrade for the Samsung Tablet.

ME: do you know if this is planned to receive the ICS update ever?

REP: We are actively working with our OEM partners to ensure that a number of eligible T-Mobile devices are upgraded to Android 4.0 in the coming months and will communicate updates as we have additional details to share.

I think T-Mobile's pretty good with updates, although I could be wrong. I think they just need to wait for Samsung to get off their @ss, after that tmobile needs to bloat it further with their software AND test it. So I would wager late summer/fall at best. just my guess.

Chris i am a tmo store manager and we have not been told anything for the 7+ or the 10.1 or even the springboard or gslate for that matter. They keep us in the dark till the day of launch its kinda sad TBH.

alcuin, what steps did you take to get INCOMING calls? just flashed the ICS theme on top of your stock tmobile rom? please explain in detail if you can. thanks

1; install the deodexed zip from the first post of this thread. I had to wipe data partition/factory reset too or else I got boot loops. Reboot.

btw I'm sim unlocked. If you're not sim unlocked, chances not good since t-mobile blacklists tablet imei's as phones.

The same thing I did and it worked, outgoing calls was the first thing I tested after seen the phone app..hopefully u will make it work!

ps why do u suspect it could be ur sim?

Sent from my GT-P6200 using xda app-developers app
The guy in this post has the exact same problem I do; can receive calls and text, but outgoing doesn't work. He solved his issue by replacing the sim.
