[COMP]HTC Desire Silver VS Brown [Pics + Video]

Greetings

I havent seen the picture of both colors side by side here in the forum so I thought I put the pictures here for people to come and see directly

I prefer the HTC Legend body, but those are the body alternatives (Silver or Urban Brown) if you want a full horse power of the HTC Desire

which colour do you prefer [?]

The Silver version does look much better then I thought it would look.

But I think in the end I am still going to choose the Brown version

agreed, .. i wish that they shoved the horse power of this beast in a legend-like unibody ...

but meh, cant have everything right?

the urban brown will be nice, it will catch people's eyes (is it black? is it brown? what is it?) Lol

there is no "black" desire, .. its Urban brown, .. sometimes it looks black in the pictures but it isnt really black

contact clove.co.uk, and ask them wither they will get a silver version, they are very helpful

They are both ugly, if only the brown one was brushed metal like on Hero

Silver paints tend to scratch very easily

Hi I just received an interesting response from a mail I sent HTC - I asked if it was possible to tell from the part number as to what colour the device will be and what would be avaliable sim free in the UK;

In regards to this the current pre-order will be for the item as shown in the picture which will hopefully be the black/grey colour, we will have more info closer to release day and if you are unhappy about pre-ordering an item without knowing the colour is confirmed i would advise holding this until it is evident the colour that is going to be released,

So it would appear there is no brown model at all! Which makes sense since it doesn't look brown in any of the pics I have seen. Personally I want a silver one.

I personally like the silver version, it looks more expensive and high-quality. However, scratches will probably be more apparent D=

there is no black, .. there is only brown, dark brown, .. in some pictures it appears to be black, .. but it isnt,

Have preordered the brown one. Reason: I don't like a greyish paint that easily scratches and is in too much contrast with the many dark screens that most app/site developers tend to favour.

Besides that: Brown sounds perhaps ugly as a phone colour but it almost looks blackish (so no ugly retro-brown). And, once you went black, you'll never go back

The Gunmetal (silver) color looks nice, but I think I will stick with the brown/dark color. If it had the metal-back like the HTC Legend, then that would be a major seller

Btw, I am really starting find it funny how HTC's strategy works! Again, here is a person saying 'IF the Desire had SOMETHING THAT ANOTHER PHONE HAS WHICH GOES ON SALE IN THE SAME MONTH, it would be great'. They really leave out options so they can sell their next phone! Or somebody here that wants to tell me they just COULD NOT have used the Legend's metal-body on the Desire? (maybe because of the amazing hardware?)

No its not funny strategy, thats how they can generate more revenue, .. imagine that HTC (and all other manufacturers) instead of making different features phones, make one super/pretty phone. Who will buy other than that phone? noone, and the users will keep that super/pretty phone for years without drolling over other devices.

I also wish if i could get the the Desire inside a Legend body (who does not?) but that is the way it is

True. In the end, HTC has to worry about revenue. Either way...this phone will be going into a protective case with a screen saver ASAP

At this moment I see my pictures on tens of websites with image credits to XDA-Developers or no mention at all. These pictures are posted with ALL RIGHTS RESERVERD.
