The kernel assumption. See thread in general (http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1726218) for tests and information about app launch hangs. Latest update is that while rare, they are still seen with the new SuperSU.
can someone please tell me the proper way to uninstall this rom and go back to gingerbread. i tried to odin back and it messed up my phone. thank you

Hey now has anyone come up with a fix for getting voice mail with wifi, Tmo said sgs2 supported with ICS, I really like this rom its awesome, but with out wifi im not able to use my phone at home I get like 1 bar @ best so calling in to get VM is a hit and miss, anyone know of a fix plz let me know thanks

I thought setcpu doesn't work well with dual core phones?? Becuz if it does then ill re download it becuz i got setcpu pro..

Running V7 here. everything has been working great but then after some internet browsing where i notice on the site which has flash, it was not working.
i did the wipe cache and dalvik cache, did the super wipe and even uninstall and reinstall flash, but not working. I checked to make sure "plug-in" are always on in the browser settings.
any suggestions? anyone else having this problem?

Give it time tdj will update. In the meantime Im on infamous 2.7.1 4 days now flawlessly. No freeze ups nada! So try to remember tdj customizes the hell out of his roms and there will be complications, so be patient. ICS is great btw!
It works well for me. On this rom anyhow. I don't know what other people say, I can only speak for my own personal experiance and those settings with SetCpu on this rom are great. What may be great for me may not be for you though. These things are odd like that sometimes.. Some people have issues while others don't. It woudn't hurt to try and see if it works out for you or not no? and like I said, those settings were made up and posted by someone else, I forget who, but I saved them because I knew at some point I'd need them again or someone else may want to see them. But with those settings I don't get any lag, I get good speed, and great battery live. I'm using the Blaze 4G radio incase anyone was wondering.

thanks for the reply, but ppl been having trub with visual voicemail and I read a few page back that tmo took it down because something was wrong with the app, Im thinking i'll use Digital warfare, til someone comes up with a fix VM over wifi, for DE 3 v7 or ICS and yes i agree with you this rom is awesome

Just flash TDJ's super wipe before you flash anything. No need to go back to stock first.
1. Flash super wipe
2. flash desired rom per OP's instructions
3. profit!!!

The ROM is awesome!...now, Is anybody else having issues with the GPS? My GPS doesn't work 75% of the time...Maps, GPS, Latitude, Facebook...anything that has to use the GPS is not being able to lock on a signal or locate anything using the GPS...

I had an update for it just a couple days ago. I think they fixed that issue. I don't use it so I can't verify but I'd check this out before switching to anything else

Instructions on flashing DARKSIDE.EVOLUTION:
* FULL WIPE ALWAYS *
01. Download ROM (Link is Below)
02. BACKUP ALL APPS with preferred method (ie: Rom Toolbox, Titanium, My Backup, etc..)
03. Place ROM on ROOT of your SD card. (ie: /sdcard)
04. Boot into Recovery Mode
05. Do a NAND BACKUP!!!
06. Flash DARKSIDE.SUPER.WIPE (OPTIONAL - ROM will do this by default)
07. Flash an ICS ready radio (Links below)
08. Flash ROM.
09. After flashing is complete, Reboot...
10. Let device sit for 10min without touching, then reboot.
11. Done!
Please don't start flashing any mods that were not done by me! Unless the mod was specifically made for this rom, with parts from this rom. Don't flash any radios unless they're specifically for ICS, the ril from gb roms will cause phone not to boot.
I know that ICS is new and a lot of people are unfamiliar. You must read! Please don't think ICS is anything similar to gingerbread.

ONLY USE THIS IF YOU NEED TO WIPE CACHE'S OR FIX PERMISSIONS IN CLOCKWORK MOD RECOVERY. THIS IS TO BE FLASHED IN RECOVERY! This replaces the need for using the broken built in CWM recovery functions. The DARKSIDE.CACHE.WIPE script will wipe both the /cache partition and the dalvik cache. After its has completed the wipe, it will then fix permissions (the correct way). This should hopefully fix that damn ICS reboot hang issue once and for all.

90Here is where I stand after a lot of thought on all this.. I am a firm believer in pushing the community forward. Innovation, creativity, and originality are the keys into doing this. I am definetly not happy with the way people act around here, especially some of the new "devs". There is no sense in not helping the community when I am able. I know that I can deliver a solid ROM based off the stock Samsung firmware. It will continue along the line of minimal ui changes and focus more on ux. Updates will not be as rapid and before, but development will be consistent until I am happy with where the project ends up. I will be moving in 2 days, so I don't think I will have anything ready for another week or so. This is not an eta, just letting you know where I am at... let's do the damn thing and show them that there feeble skills are no match for the power of the DARKSIDE!65If anyone is still interested.. Expect an update with the new UVLH1 android 4.0.4. NO ETA..
Taking requests for things people would like to see.. will not guarantee I will implement everything suggested.. but open for ideas55I will be releasing v2 BETA01 tonight. V2 rebases of the uvcl8 t989 base and gives us back all functionality. Base is stable and screaming fast. Plus I know a lot of people will be happy to get wifi calling back... no exact time, but sometime tonight for sure. Still a few things that I have to do.. but I know u guys will be more than happy with my progress. To note, everything works within the rom
