i have about 25000 to spend...this is a little beyond budget...
btw its fast and snaps great photos....
oh btw the arc s on display at this store has ics on board...its 24999...

I could do with a little help modding an apk if they might be able to spare a little time to help?
I'm trying to change the icon of an app I use quite often and after changing the PNG it won't install. The image I'm trying to use is a PNG, and its literally the only thing I changed within the apk. How I'm trying to do it is using root explorer extract the apk, delete the res/drawable/icon.PNG and replace it with my choice of image in PNG format, rename the image to icon and repack it to zip and rename it to apk.
When trying to install it I get error cannot install. Some help would be greatly appricated please.

You need to sign the apk, then uninstall previous version from your phone and then install your modded and signed apk!

Thanks for your help! Once you said it was a signing issue I actually went and found https://play.google.com/store/apps/...1bGwsMSwxLDEsImtlbGxpbndvb2Quemlwc2lnbmVyMiJd so I could do it right off my phone.
The other thing I'm having a bit of trouble with is editting what I believe to be some kind of text document within the app, my phone seems to think its damaged and cannot be opened with anything I throw at it. There's a value of headset volume boost I'm trying to lower. The file shouldn't be damaged as I know it works. Could you take a look and see what I may be able to use to open it so I can edit the value?

Guys and gals. You have to check out the new XDA premium app. In my opinion the new layout is awesome. They fixed some bugs too.

Had to switch to this as the update to regular xda app blows and is buggy as hell. And the touch wake project didn't go so well. Tried two different ways and no worky.

Shame about your kernel, if / when you sort it I'll still test if you liked. I have found that this HD xda app actually works with the force gpu rendering turned on

Force gpu rendering worked fine on other app. Just did a different background. Ill get back to kernel when time allows.

Im gonna explain why I have decided to create this thread, and then I'm gonna explain what this thread will be all about.
First, why did I create this thread? I have noticed lately alot of members who like to get a little chatty in certain threads...whether its in the general section, dev section or themes & apps. Sometimes we can get a little carried away with our talking and it usually ends up with another member(s) telling these 2,3 sometimes 4 people to stay on topic and stop flooding the thread..Rightfully so. Sometimes, it also goes as far as a mod having to come into the thread, spend time cleaning it up, and then hand out bans, warnings, etc etc...rightfully so.
So, whats this thread all about? It's simple...THERE ARE NO TOPICS! we as XDA members sometimes like to talk..period! Within this thread we can talk about whatever we want...your fav rom, your fav theme, your fav theme with fav rom, other phones, cars, tv's, dslr camera, your job, where you live, post pictures of random cool things..etc etc.
The great thing about this is there will be NO going off topic, no warnings about going off topic, no being sent on vacation etc etc. This DOES NOT mean you now have the right to disrespect other members. This simply means you are now free to talk about whatever it is you want. Just as if we were all sitting around a camp fire with a beer in each hand...good ol' conversation!
The only thing I can ask of this is remember every member will and has there own opinion about anything that may get mentioned in this thread...PLEASE respect that! Don't be rude to other members, don't start fighting. This thread is our chance to finally go "off topic" without any harm.
This thread can be fun...I noticed alot of people who like to talk...so lets do this.
ps. Just because I created this thread does not mean in any way that I am gonna run it or be in control...oh helll no lol. This thread is for all of us to run and have fun. I suspect we are all mature enough to keep this thread fun, clean, stupid (you know how you get stupid sometimes, but it's funny lol) funny, and also help other people out with anything that gets talked about.
So, what do you guys say? Lets do this or what?
Now, im off for the night/early morning...my little girl will not go to sleep no matter what I do. It's been playtime for her for the last 17 hours or so...she is like that dang energizer bunny....I seriously don't get it...she needs sleep! lol14
Yes camera is also important,but people like me have their X10 as an secondary phone where we never mind of having camera for few months or days.
