Oh, aren't you the same guy who made xperia jb version for defy? I use that for a long time.

Just installed this. As expected, it looks great. Right now its restoring apps from play store. As with cm11 too, this causes such high cpu usage that I just can't use my phone for anything else.

Only problem I have had till now is that after the first boot, when I toggled off data(i don't use it), my wifi stopped working. A reboot solved that. Right now as my apps are being restored, the phone cannot detect my sd card. Once, the restore is complete, I will have a look at it and reboot the phone. Should work properly.

All in all, this looks like a great rom. Will report back after I played around more with this. Nice to see xposed baked right in :)

Will wait for your feedback :victory:.

And yes this is a "continued" project, the Xperia JB creator mato_d007 gave me permission to update his rom until he found a way to get a new defy. If you see in my signature, other versions of the rom are posted in the original thread.

I posted this in a spanish forum and forgot to put it here :p.

@Zeroemd,
Well I have been using this rom for almost 6 hours now. Got my first ril bug in2 days. Have changed my baseband, should work fine now.

As usual, there are huge memory leaks which just bog down the system. But I guess thats happening with cm11 too.

Now,
1) Please edit the build.prop in the next version and change "purgeable assets" to "0". Its 1 right now and on our defy that causes lags.
2) Also the animation duration. Its 2x in Dev options, but after I changed it to .5x everything is flying.
3) enabled zipalign and fix emissions in settings. :) This is what I love about this rom. I don't need 10 other scripts running or to be setup every time. This is far more flexible. :good:
4) Xposed settings just fc's everytime for no reason.

All in all, after making some small changes, the rom is flying. It gives random reboots once in a while but that also happens on cm11 for me.

Its great that you are continuing this. This rom is flying right now. I am going to be using this as my daily driver :D

Launcher fc's for no reason sometimes, especially when the uninstall option is selected.

Will keep posting here as I keep using it. So far this is the smoothest KK rom on our defy yet. even smoother than slimbean.

Thanks for the feedback!

1. Will do, thanks for the advice.
2. Will ask ela1103 to put it in the first post along with the things I sent.
3. It is the good thing about AOSB!
4. Push This into system/app and report back please.

And the bugs should be posted in the first post, I asked ela1103 to change the first post.

Please clarify on the OP or the title that this is an unofficial version not related to my original work, i plan to continue it but people will get really confused now that there is 2 threads with the same title. Zeroemd got my permission to make his own interpretation of Xperia D but we are not working togheter as for now. Nice work btw, im still fixing a broken Defy that i bought recently (microUSB port destroyed) so i cant test it but looks really good.:)

Yup that works. xposed framework loads now. Although I have no use for it intentionallly as I am trying to keep my ram usage down.

Another thing, we have to wait like 10-15 minutes after booting for the phone to actully function porperly. Or else, it will force reboot due to high cpu usage. Would love to see overcloking present in the next version :)

Overclocking/undervolting should be present, will take a look at it.

Once mato has his defy ready, I would like to work with him to provide the best user experience.

Does anyone else have this problem? @overclockthesun do you have battery drain.?

I have been out due to a combination of laziness, technologic disasters, school and tragedies.

But an update will come soon :cowboy:

    @Zeroemd
Acid does make a discernable difference. It doesn't work with the walkman app though. Works great with poweramp. Sounds much fuller, although my entire mid-range seems to be gone:silly:

Edit:I changed the walkman app, sounds better. Anyway beta testers will tell me.

I will change the music app to the one present in Xperia Z2 and if if does not work I will put a modded Z1 walkman or another sound mod.

    Hy :)

Switching back from Note 2 to my old Defy (because of call issues...) and trying your ROM :)

    One question:
Is there a possibility to overclock?
I remeber i could do that with an earlier version of Cm10.1 and CM11...

    Greetings from Germany :)

Edit: Solved! changed some libraries and modules and OC is now working.

I am as puzzled as you but I think I have a solution to that, will look into it with more detail.

Did you change the base band top your location?
@Zeroemd dude lease replace the download manager app in the next version. At present it will not side load apps downloaded from the internet. Just gives an error "cannot open file "

Sent from my MB526 using Tapatalk

    Edit:Changed

    I will.

    @Zeroemd,
Another thing you look into is uninstalling apps. The stock launcher crashes when you try to uninstall any app. Also there is a memory leak somewhere. There are no random reboots or rio bugs present in this rom, but every 2-3 days the phone just locks up. you have to pull the battery. All in all the most stable kitkat rom as yet for my defy.

Oh and normal widgets don't show up in the launcher selection screen .... only those that the sony launcher recognises. For e.g., quick reboot app widgets don't show up. ITs weird but it also happened with the xperia jb rom.

    Edit:Solved.

Most likely I will update/change the launcher and keyboard, so that should fix that problem.

    Nope :/
I overclock to 1200 MHz with custom vsl ...
Values in bootloader Seen to be ignored ...

    Edit: Now solved

    Waiting for new build :(

Sent from my MB526 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Edit: In the next couple days.

    Soon.;)

i have call problem, when I call to someone and switch to keyboard I can see only black screen so I cannot use keyboard to type any numbers...

Edit: Should be solved by now.

Other users have told me that happens, will look into it.

Also I am thinking to make a new thread and have this one closed, so it will be better organized and easier for everybody.

Edit:The update will be here in a couple days, It needs to be tested to avoid any occurrences in regular use.

The ROM should be overclocked by default, will check into that.

Is the weather widget in this ROM the same animated one found in the Z series?

Yes, at least it is supposed to be the same one.
