[APP][2.1+] Launcher 8 by Timo Kujala

Okay, the long anticipated successor of Launcher7, is finally here; Launcher8. This one is made by Timo Kujala, and was published today, APRIL 1ST....
So yeah check it out...

I'm pretty sure it doesn't work with tablets, based on responses, but I am not sure.

Change log;

April 1st - Initial Release!

April 2nd -
-newly pinned tile should no longer overlap the bottommost tile
- shortcut to contact should now work in larger number of devices
- calendar tile should no longer crash with some htc devices
- widget resize handles are no longer drawn in hardware accelerated mode in android 3.0 - 4.0, this should prevent crash due to unsupported graphics operation
- some crash fixes here and there

Was waiting for this for a long time!!

It's finally here

Hope it offers the same degree of customisation as Launcher7.

Is the ability to make custom tiles transparent as an option present?

Been waiting for this for a long time, seems to work well enough on my One S. Feels smoother than the chinese Launcher 8 app.

how is this better than Launcher WP8? sorry cos it looks the same and LWP8 has a lot of option and improvements already. It's fast and fluid too.

I cannot access my Music on the external SD card after installing it this app.

I'm running Gingerbread 2.3.6.

What do you mean full version? There is no lite version yet.

Hey guys, no need to be sorry, honest question you all asked... But I think this app is way more smooth and fast when it comes to Navigating and adding apps to screen and scrolling, etc. (not the animation on start up of an app though). Hope that helped. This looks better in the settings of the app for me too.

Launcher 8 doesn't work for tablets, and I added to OP once it was realized, so that's why.

And what's the difference between tile launcher...which has had tons of development and includes lots of customization and is very smooth - not to mention works on tablets.

One big difference is compatibility. Tile Launcher is nice, but it's 4.0+.

I'm fully aware that the problem is with me, I've been using the previous version of this app (Launcher 7), and can't figure out how to add tiles...

I would greatly appreciate it if some one would describe the steps I should take for adding new tiles, and after that I would feel a great deal of embarrassment about not figuring this out for myself...
