'Battery status' as 'unknown' after Quarx's last nightly, but after flashing ICS Defy battery fix from Auris 1.6 vvt-i, is charging up to 100% again. For me video record is fine but the UI is a bit slow.

quarkx 20120413 feels snappy! Wow! That's my first impression. Now checking if deep sleep is working, than testing some camera-apps. Or has anyone else tested already?

/edit Deep sleep is working fine :) Goggles still not fully functional, same goes for other barcodescanners

Quark's 1304+ build compared to Eppy's 1104+ build:

Camcorder appears more reliable when recording longer than 30sec. Short recordings seem to cause FC.

Wifi toggle works flawlessly.

Panorama doesn't appear to be working at all.

CPU Spy reads 4 setvsels correctly.

Looks like another keeper... if the data connectivity is as good as Eppy's last + build, I'll stay with this one.

Yes and yes, you got it all right :)

Bear in mind that flashing without doing a full wipe can lead to all sorts of bugs..! Sometimes it does, other times it doesn't. It's a strange thing :D

Cheers! :)

Thank you very much! last one:
The Red lens's batterty fix is still needed or it is already included in the last Quarx ROM?

Try to convince me it does... :p My MB525 red lense hase been clocked at 1100MHz eversince it was rooted and hooked with custom ROM and never had any issues. ;)

I've also run on 1100 using WIUI for many weeks without a problem... if you read what I'm saying in context, the 1100 causes problems with the quarx 1304+ build because the max CPU frequency in the Processor settings is 1000MHz

So you mean that my Defy's not running at 1100MHz right now...? :D
I am on Quarx's 1304, running at 1100MHz, deep sleep working fine and ROM looks snappier than ever... Video recording not working for me though.

I'm certainly not making any claims about your defy...

Just trying to help those who had the same problem as me when first installing 1304+

epsy 0411 doesn't need battery fix!

I haven't needed a battery fix for quite some time now.

missing baseband switcher after last quarx+ build flash

Hi,

I've just flashed 0413+ GB Kernel Quarx's build over my last ROM 0305 Quarx with froyo kernel in a regular bayer-lens Defy and now my baseband has changed and I can not find the baseband switcher in the android menu. It used to be on settings->advanced but that menu doesn't exist now.

I just did a cache and dalvik cache wipe after and befor flashing.

a solution to this is to download the baseband switcher .apk, install it (overwriting current) and open directly after install as it will not show in app draw, it works for me :)

I was about to post that since I did it and worked great. Thank you very much for your help!

Quarx's 0413 Defy+ GB Kernel is worked perfect on regular Bayer-Lens Defy
Video recording is working right as well.

TO CLEAR YOUR CONFUSIONS ABOUT GB KERNEL ICS AND FROYO KERNEL ICS

I have seen lot of confused user out there asking about which kernel to flash and stuff... So here u go read below...
So our beloved Awsome Developers make two types of nightlies
    1-For DefyPlus(Can Also be used on Defy(RedLens))
These are the GB/CM9 kernel builds
These are found under /cm9-nightly-defy+/ folder of the servers which we have
To install these you need to follow the TuT to install ICS Defy Plus Above...
Green Lens Camera Wont work on these builds

2-For Regular Defy(Do not work on Defy plus)
    These are Froyo/CM7 kernel Builds
These are found under /CM9-Nightly-Defy/ folder of the servers which we have.
To install these follow the TuT to install CM9 ICS FOR Defy stated above

3-Well there is no 3rd build(There is The MileStone2 Port by Walter79,But now that we have camera on our builds that one is not usefull...)

+ICS bugs (all kernel versions) http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1381887

    Doesn't Work (not supported yet):
    -Panorama
    -HWA a bit buggy

If you find any bug please post it here: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1381887
If the bug is specific to this kernel version please post it in this thread.

ok, you know what? i tired of this. I'm reading in all kinds all replys (here and in other threads/PM): from good job to being dissapointed by the way i manage(update) this thread. I'm sorry for those of you who are dissapointed (but bear in mind that i do this for free, in my spare time, for you) and lots of thanks for those of you who appreciate my efforts in keeping this as "up-to-date" as I can. But I can't do this no more... users are getting upset for being to much threads about this, and since I'm not the developer nor have anything to do with the development of ICS, I will ask a moderator to close and archive this thread.

It was nice while it lasted. See you around:) Cheers!

     Feedback:--GodSlayer--:
Comes with Google Apps pre installed
    Added Defy ROM Updater
Camera one step foward: There is shutter opening sound( or something of that sort ), Camera app doesn't just Force Close anymore. Still cannot connect to camera
    UI is somewhat faster.

    What is Defy ROM Updater?
A ROM Manager like app, it allows to
    Check for updates
Perform all wipes( Davlik, app, data )
    Backuping and Restoring the ROM
    Entering Recovery Mode.

    29-Jan-2012:
     Feedback:--GodSlayer--:
    UI is much faster
    3G Works rather well
Added Interface: Launcher, Interface:Themes, Launcher:System in settings
    Added Personal:Profiles in Settings
    Added System:Performance in Settings
Camera very very soon - when you usually open camera, there is that sound, in this build, it has that sound but camera app force closes.
Added Music app( CyanogenMod 7 )
Added Dev Tools - ( don't remember it in previous version, perhaps I am mistaken )

thanks for the reports, i fixed the apn window (merge problem, aosp 4.0.4 merge was not fast-forward) and the wifi off from notification bar by a temporary hack...

for the video, its still very sensible code, and our device familly (omap3) is almost fully ignored by cyanogenmod team ....

bootmenu and Usb apps have now the official ICS branch, but wifi camera and codecs will be a hell again to be merged...
    33
This build is test of hwa with some fixes..
Fully hwa we can use only after new gl libs, but for now we can't use new libs(thanks to moto for that)
On defy+ hwa completely unstable, than on defy.
