I don't get it
dmesg | grep p2p
Doesn't yield any results. Dmesg by itself only yields audio stuff.

Lol I wasn't being sarcastic. Kcrudup is probably the most brilliant software engineer I, or any of you, will ever have the pleasure of knowing. He needs no further explanation
So, this is an isolated case, then? (... and I'm just "above average", but I'll take the complement, in any case )

Okay, so I've tried searching the xoom forums and this thread....so maybe I'm just retarded here....but is anyone else having problems connecting to exchange for email, etc? It knows when I put in the wrong details (username/pw, etc)....but when I put in the RIGHT password, it fails to connect. Had no problems on previous honeycomb ROM. Any ideas?
One thing I kept doing wrong was that I didn't notice that in the exchange setup screen that although I had entered the domain to connect to earlier, the setup brings that directly forward to the exchange setup and yet does not include a domain prefix. Example: on the first screen you type your email address as john@doe.com, but in the exchange screen the domain is only listed as doe.com, in my case it should read mail.doe.com. Other options could be exchange doe.com, or ftp.doe.com or secretmailserver.doe.com it took me about fifteen tries before I figured that out.

I've done this several times before on pre-ics with no problems. I have no idea what was meant by "buckeye" email. My 2.3.4 nexus one has no problems connecting to exchange, and my 3.1 xoom had no problems either. Setup has the same prompts, I put in the same information, it just won't work.
Buckeyemail is the Ohio State University's student email service. You have a name@buckeyemail.osu.edu address, but the service itself is routed through microsoft's outlook/exchange servers. I don't know, but I would assume that other universities provide email to their students in a similar fashion.
I had a problem where if I entered my correct username and password, it would error out with "could not establish a connection to the server" or something similar. If I entered a knowingly incorrect username/password, it would say "invalid username or password". So I had to do a bit of a workaround to which server I was trying to connect. I'm not near an expert as the Dev's in this forum, but I think it's a name/address resolution problem. It might be something in ICS that's doing it though, as I never had the problem on Honeycomb (Xoom) or Gingerbread/Froyo (my old D2G).
Anyway. The server they wanted me to use was pod51000.outlook.com, but it wasn't resolving correctly. So I just changed it to sn2prd0102.outlook.com, which is what my broser resolves pod51000.outlook.com to be, and it connected just fine. Send/receive emails fine. Push notification w/ sync all email. This may have future ramifications if they switch servers around, but I'll just have to cross that bridge when I come to it.
Just wanted to let you know, exchange has been working great for me. Running 4 different accounts, ranging from 2003, 2007, 2010, and live.edu (outlook.com)... its been working phenomenally well, and have yet to come across a stuck message, which did happen to me on honeycomb.
http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=22033932&postcount=1014I just was wondering if anyone has a fix for stopping Exchange security. I tried using K9 but could not connect to Exchange server. One good thing about K9, it does have delete all

I only have one minor issue to report. And this happens on all versions I've used. I dock the xoom every night and turn the screen off before going to sleep. Sometime during the night the screen turns itself back on. Last night it happened multiple times. It's not rebooting when this happens as my up time is just shy of 24 hours. Anyone else see this behavior? Know how I can fix it perhaps? Thanks!

I also dock my xoom at night and never have this problem, after you dock your xoom do you just hit the power button to turn the screen off or do you hit the home button first to turn the clock off first? I always turn the clock off first then hit the power button and have never had a problem.
That's how I do it, too. I turn the clock off, hit the power button, and sometime during the night the darn thing comes back on to my lock screen. Very annoying as it tends to wake me up when it does that. I have no idea what could be causing this.
I also have no idea what could be causing the issue, maybe a faulty connection in the dock.
So I am to take it that 98 will be the last nightly we see for the xoom than?
How else could you perfect this Rom is the real question. Not, is it the last nightly. Because as they are saying JB will probably be the next nightlys, so lets be patience.
