On stock rom, install busybox from the market to reate symlinks, and then replace the /system/bin/busybox with the one avaiable on older xrecovery installation :)

tested by me

Then next version will have busybox, so you just need to install app after install busybox
EDIT:
Check 1.2 :D

i am not sure, but almost. busybox has an install option, maybe it will add symlinks itself?

try

busybox --install -s /system/bin/

What are you talking about?, you need to have right symlinks before installing it, on other words, steps:
Install busybox from market
Install recovery choosed from app
Install busybox from app

Why twice busybox.. compatibility issues, im gonna compile for sdk 7 soon

EDIT: Uploaded compatibility version :D

In previews post I suggested to ignore the one from the market. If you only copy the right busybox and then run the installed line on my previous post. It should installed itself and create the links itself. Its just a suggestion.

Hi bitmovel,

Can you please be more specific how you did it?

I try:
1 - Install busybox from Market (last version available is v.1.19 installed to /system/bin/)
2 - Copy busybox from xRecovery-minipro-0.1.1-beta.tar.bz2 from this thread
3 - Try to use Recover Installer v.1.3 to install CWM Recovery

The problem is that CWM Recovery is not installed!

Thanks

I finally do it:
1 - install xrecovery using files from xRecovery-minipro-0.1.1-beta.tar.bz2
2 - Using ROM Manager I have installed CWM Recovery

PS: Probally it was a mistake with permissions (I put wrxwrxwrx to 3 files to be sure it was working) or mount RW or missing a reboot!

In order to make this app working, or ROM Manager working, you need to have busybox!, won't work if you dont download busybox from market
Steps:
Download & Install busybox FROM MARKET!
Install busybox from my app, just for avoid compatibility issues
REBOOT!
Install recovery you want
Enjoy ...

I really don't Know why dont work for you, I tried on Stock, and worked

Hi, first of all, i want to thank you all your efforts around this development ;)

Im posting because im having the same issue that you have been describing here.

Also D4rKn3sSyS, i have done your steps, and isnt working for me neither :(

I have also done #rm -r /system/xbin/busybox and reinstall it via the market app, and when i launch your application, nothing happens whatever button I touch, just the message in the log "Initializing".

Thanks for all your work m8 ;)

This is a simple app, that will allow you to easily exchange your current Recovery version, only tapping a button and pressing "Allow", only requirement, phone rooted, no needed mont rw or anything, pretty easy to use!

    Log Implemented!

Thanks to Slade87, NobodyAtAll, zdzihu, Doomlord, and all other devs helped (im sorry if I miss somebody).

I confirm, for me using this method is the best way to have CWMRecovery installed from SE Rom.

D4, using your APK it continues not working.
