Here's the Radio image. DO NOT FLASH THE ZIP. It's also a .img.p whatever that entails. I imagine it is a patch for the old radio, as opposed to the full radio. I do not know the specifics of flashing a .p, so do it at your own risk

I'm not sure about flashing just the radio, but if you flash the complete 4.2.2 OTA update, LTE certainly does not work. :(

Hmm I'm on AOKP and I'm just outside the coverage area. I'll flash .48 on AOKP and see if it connects to LTE on my commute to class tomorrow. thanks for the upload!

Anyone else seeing weirdness with Auto Rotation after flashing the .48 radios?

I don't know how a radio firmware could have anything to do with Auto Rotation, but when I'm running .48 (with perfectly fine signal and everything) I lose Auto Rotation (the settings under display are turned on).

Confirmed that flashing back to the .33 radios causes Auto Rotation to work again.

Re-flashing my ROM and Kernel on .48 Radios did nothing.

Anyone else?

Does anyone have any idea why this would be happening (particularly the Auto Rotation bug)? I'm not understanding that. Has anyone flashed the full ROM and have Auto Rotation working? (I'm wondering if it's some weird problem with Radios written for 4.2.2, or some change like that in the Mako build of 4.2.2).

I've decided to try and compile a list of the available radios for the Nexus 4 so that people have a "one-stop" for all of them.

Unless stated otherwise, I've pulled all of these myself from either the factory images from Google's site, and packaged them up to be flashable in recovery.

    Notes:
    1) I have no idea what the differences are between the versions.
    2) LTE is disabled in all radios newer than 0.33. If you want to use LTE, you need to use 0.33, 0.27 or a hybrid.
    3) For those on T-Mobile who want to use LTE, see this post. Also see this for a recovery-flashable fix for no audio when using older radios on 4.2.2.
    4) For advanced users: the radios from the Optimus G do also work to a certain extent, but they require kernel patches. See here.
    5) For those that can't tether when using LTE, here are the proper IP tables.

Standard disclaimer: I take no responsibility if you mess up your device by flashing any of these radios.

These are flashable in a custom recovery. To flash using fastboot, extract the image from within, and flash that using: fastboot flash radio modem.img

Downloads are available at this link: Mako Modem Collection. Thanks to bombadier for providing the hosting.

Note: I have removed all the dev-host links that we were previously using. While in the past, dev-host was an acceptable hosting site, in recent months it has gone downhill -- to the point of having misleading multiple "fake" download buttons and sometimes even offering up malware. I strongly suggest that no one use dev-host as a hosting site for any files going forward.

    Unofficial hybrid radios

morrislee has done some great work: he replaced the core modem components in 0.84 with those from 0.33 and 0.27. See his posts here and here. This enables us to use LTE and yet have all the newer features (power management, audio on T-Mobile, etc.) from the newer radios.

See this thread for discussion/information on hybrid radios.
