The external speaker on my G5 doesn't work for notifications and media. Even the touch and lockscreen sounds don't work. But when I'm on my softphone dialling app I have audio through the external speaker. Everything works fine when the headset is connected though. I've rebooted countless times, pulled the battery and even did a factory reset all of which didn't make a difference. I've tried Mobile Uncle but don’t really know how to use all the features properly. I need help desperately because I really like this phone and don't want to go through the pain of returning it under warranty. It seems more of a software than a hardware problem or if it is hardware the only thing I can think is causing it may be a malfunction of the headphone jack (which I've only used twice). PLEASE HELP!
