I don't think any other .zip files currently will work for the KFireHD7. So be careful.
@KindleFireGuy: Absolutely not. This won't work and will probably end in a soft brick requiring a reflash.
be sure to double check the fastboot line for flash recovery. i had a typo in it originally.
fastboot -i 0x1949 flash recovery kfhd7-twrp-2.3.3.0-recovery.img

i managed to flash the recovery fine in fastboot but now i am stuck in a bootloop and unable to run the stock os is this normal or have i done somthing wrong
Rob:good:
EDIT: okie so i tried from a clean fresh system using the restore images, i have managed to install the recovery bootloader no problem and i can access it, but if i leave the kindle and want to boot stock it goes orange and the texts flashes like normal and just when you think its going to boot it reboots and does the same thing over and over and over only way to get it to boot is wacking in the fastboot usb and then flashing the stock boot.img i also tried flashing revs beta rom and in twrp it always says error status 7 dunno if that is becasue its not the finished thing or not i am bit stuck now
dischargen the battery and continues, i will pull battery ! and try
i had the same problem what i did to get out of the loop was to reflash the stock firmware the boot.img and recovery.img and system.img with my fast boot cable pluged in
still got the boot loop where it refuses to boot stock amazon os
adb pull /dev/block/platform/omap/omap_hsmmc.1/by-name/boot
adb pull /dev/block/platform/omap/omap_hsmmc.1/by-name/recovery
adb pull /dev/block/platform/omap/omap_hsmmc.1/by-name/system # This will take a few minutes
but i cant enter in fastboot, how do you enter in fastboot ? i have a factory cable
hello persano,
so you can no longer flash via fastboot?
note: the smb347 charger will charge the device under almost any circumstances. but via usb, the device may still drain if stuck in a boot loop. so best to plug into a wall charger.
with access to fastboot, you should be able to reflash the stock partitions and do a full wipe of data and be back to square one.
with only access to recovery, i think i could setup a "back to stock" flash .zip

Whenever I get around to installing ubuntu or linux on my 2nd hard drive I plan on downloading the sdk, gonna start to try and learn a thing or 2 in the world of android development
Edit: hey hashcode, i just noticed twrp recovery was updated to 2.4, can i just flash it thru fastboot? Or does it need to be modified for the HD7?
