Hey guys.

I've finally achieved S-OFF on my Desire 500 Dual-SIM.
Turns out the method used for S-OFF doesn't work on x64 systems (at least for me).

I have solved all my Dual-SIM not booting issues with this zip I have compiled.
The OS now shows up in hboot.

I have also modded the hboot not to show the red text and changed the Splash Screen to a black Stock version

ONLY FOR 1.26.401.2 OS VERSION (hboot 1.03.0001)

Just do this:
1 - Unlock Bootloader
2 - Get Root
3 - Get S-OFF
4 - Get SuperCID (fastboot oem writecid 11111111)
5 - Use theses commands to flash my firmware:

adb reboot-bootloader
(WAIT until you get the FASTBOOT USB)
fastboot oem rebootRUU
(WAIT until you see the grey HTC logo)
fastboot flash zip firmware_billabongstaff.zip
fastboot flash zip firmware_billabongstaff.zip
(YES, do it twice and wait it out until the end)
fastboot reboot-bootloader
(WAIT until you get the FASTBOOT USB)
(See if OS shows up or not)
fastboot reboot

DONE!

ENJOY.

NOTE: Everytime you access your Custom Recovery, it makes a change within the partitions and the OS will no longer show up and you'll have to flash the zip again if you want to keep your phone bootable as any other normal phone.
Access your Custom Recovery as little as possible.

@Op, kindly add this to the first page.
Best regards.

1. On my dual SIM Desire 500, when the battery runs out and I plug it in (and it shows the battery icon), it then boots in recovery instead of booting into Android like it's supposed to. Is there any way to fix this?

2. Can we remap the memory to have more system RAM? (I can't imagine the GPU needing 256MB, and there's nothing else that needs a lot of memory)

Use rumrunner (download the version for HTC Desire X)

1. Check my thread in general about the boot up problem, it might be fix, although I don't know. Alternatively, enable fast boot in settings will solve.
2. It's impossible, there is a h/w difference in memory.

Hi, I need some advice. I want to flash James rom (I have root s-on on Desire 500 one SIM), but I cant mount my SD card in recovery. Is it nessesary to have the goldcard? Or which format must be the SD card (fat32/NTFS and the aplication period size).

And the second question is: Is it possible to flash the rom from another SD card (I have some goldcard, which I can mount in recovery) or during the flash some dataa are saving on actualy inserted SD card? In my old HTC desire when I flash rom, some data are save on the SD card and if I unmount it, the phone is cycled. Thanks for your advice.

afaik your sdcard can be vfat or ext4. not extfat or ntfs. But im not sure, windows file systems always confuse me

However, no data is actually saved on the sdcard. This only happens which when you use int2ext or sth, which is (currently) not available.

Thanks a lot. I format my SD card as Fat32 and primary not local and Sectors per Index Record 5kb and everything works.

Different devices come with different hardware components, such as the camera or sound "chips". Those require special drivers, which are in most cases proprietary and not part of AOSP (which is the "Android base code").

This means, each ROM must include device specific code, and thus is specific to the device it is created for.

I repacked the CWM philz image with galaxyfreak's kernel. This means the recovery doesn't jump from left to right anymore. :good:
haven't tested anything, use at you own risk, the usual stuff
I didn't make any of it, credits go to galaxyfreak and SPSPaWn
