Has anybody tried to disassemble a Legend yet? Are there any pictures of the insides below the top plastic cover on the backside?
There are some pictures at mforum.ru but there are not shots of the most interesting part - just the aluminum case before and after.
Sorry I'm not allowed to post the link but google for "HTC Legend no disassemble".

great pictures shown there!!

can i confirm if the wifi antenna and the gps antenna are located on the top plastic (camera area) while the phone antenna is on the battery cover??

or are the wifi and gps antennas all the same, located on the battery cover??

thanks for the answer in advance.. haha.. this can help me decide what areas to hold on to the phone for specific tasks..

Tools

The first time I took it apart I used what I had, I just had to grind the tip of the scalpel, and it worked. But now I have invested in a tool kit.
Have fun…

You have to push on the phones bag side to get the display forward and up, be careful not to bend the metal by the microphone in the top.

My brother also has a cracked screen. Would be very helpful if someone was able to perhaps show how to change it?

I've made a guide for the HTC Legend here as the other guides are either incomplete, in a foreign language or both and generally pretty poor - formymobile.co.uk/htclegenddisassembly.php

    Disassemble HTC Legend

    Hello everybody,

I've broken the screen of my legend but just the screen, not the digitizer.

Precedents posts helped me to dismantle my HTC but i've taken photos of mine, i hope those will help you.

Excuse for putting links on this way but i have no right to post external links. Please, if an admin sees my message, make the necessary !

Firsly, here are the tools what i used
    http :// yfrog.com/47p1040372j
    Left to right:
    - just a point
    - slot screwdriver
    - torx T6 screwdriver
    - philip screwdriver
    - a sort of mini-crowbar
    - a needle

After unscrew 5 visible screws (including screw under the void stick), you have to unscrew the one under the gray stick with IMEI number
    http :// yfrog.com/59p1040355j

Photo when removed from the cache of the camera
    http :// yfrog.com/4wp1040356kj

When I take off the black plastic frame from PCB card :
    http :// yfrog.com/n4p1040361yj

I removed connectors and i take off the PCB from the metal frame :
    http :// yfrog.com/mtp1040366pj

    Removing the digitizer (it's glued)
    http :// yfrog.com/jdp1040367oj

Digitizer practically removed, just unplug the connector
    http :// yfrog.com/n5p1040368oj
    is mine
Then, make the same for the screen (slip a screwdriver under it) and you have these three things
    http :// yfrog.com/2hp1040369j

Now, i'm wondering which screen buy on ebay.
    http :// cgi.ebay.com/HTC-LEGEND-A6363-G6-OEM-LCD-SCREEN-DISPLAY-REPLACEMENT-/160484286240?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item255d9bdf20
On this page, seller specifies that
It is IMPORTANT for our customers to make sure that the LCD number matches.
And the number of the screen on this photo is not mine : JC100220060. The mine is JC100312070 and i can't find it on ebay. Is there one of you that changed your screen without taken the same on this number ???

PS : Excuse me for my poor english, i'm a french guy !
