Name: GPS Speedometer

GPS Speedometer is application that shows your current speed (KPH or MPH), altitude (meters or feet) and distance traveled. Now with long awaited compass! It has scale for running, cycling, driving and even flying, and records your top speed for every activity.
Trial version will work for unlimited time with all the features (except compass) but it will show the ads.

There is also a free version which has all the features but with ads.

Downloaded on my Arrive and it is working very smoothly, pretty accurate as well. Can't wait to use it on my boat on the lake, I never trust the speedo on a boat.

Unfortunately no. But who knows, maybe you'll switch to WP7 sometime so it won't be necessary

Data connection is used for ads (free and trial version). If you buy it then data connection isn't used.

Well I turned off my data connection and it worked just fine.

Few suggestions
1. Most importantly, you need to program it to not go to zero when it loses signal. It is very distracting to have your needle flying around every time you lose signal. It should freeze in its current speed until it regains signal.

2. Maybe have a menu button where you can view your top speed, rather than simply having a non-numerical indicator on the main gauge (unless I'm missing something). You could also put more detailed trip details (distances) in that page.

3. Landscape mode. Would be nice, again, unless I missed it somehow.

also some time is seems to climb in fits and starts not smoothly
i.e. climb 1k climb 2k climb 3k climb 4,5,6,7k all at once

1. I'll see what I can do about that, it depends about status of GPS.

2. Numerical indicator of top speed is displayed below the center of analog speedometer (red digits). Trip details are on my list, but I could use more detailed description of what you think it would be ok.

3. It's already on the list, but I need more time for that.
