Roma
I finally found it and had a quick check on it. The logcat shows that veetle is waiting for some response which seems not to come and then it ends the play. A report is send in the background to veetle.com. So I guess that they are aware of the problem. Not sure if I can do anything in the ROM to solve the problem. Veetle might have a problem with Android 4.2. I saw on the Google market that a lot of users are complaining about problems.

Sorry, I don't think I can help here.

PS:
I tried it on my Galaxy Note which is running Android 4.1 (CM10 based) and Veetle works there without problems.
Unfortunately I do not have a Android 4.2 ROM for my Note yet.
Maybe the problem is a combination of Android 4.x and tablet? Or a problem of the proprietary camera drivers coming from older Android version?????

I can confirm some things to you. I've a Galaxy Note too, with LSC 4.1.2 rom. Veetle is working perfectly on N7000. Fact is that Veetle, in HD mode, isn't working too on any CM10 4.1 rom on my P7500 (and there are other people reporting that on other threads).
This situation occurs for several months now, I don't think that Veetle crew is aware of that because not all devices have this trouble.
Unfortunately I'm not a dev, I wonder if you can find any element to solve this strange thing.
Still: thank you for your time, in any case. :)

The wallpapers are not stored as single files. Instead they are in /system/app/Wallpapers.apk. Here is the link to the files: G-Drive.

Thats one of the few things i tested and for me it didn't work

I didn't implement the phone capability. I don't have the need to use my tablet as a phone. Sorry.

Totally impressed!
Installed it on Saturday. Due to the lack of time to install and tune it, the tablet was in my drawer since. With Wifi on! Checked it a couple of times per day, to read my emails easier, but for the next days the phone is the main mean to connect to internet. But (and this is what I want to mention), after 3 days the battery is still at 90%! That is just IMPRESSIVE! Great job.
From what I have checked so far, I did not find any feature not working. The only complain (if you want to call that a complain) is that the Ganbarou wallpapers are not really HD. :) But that is just to have something to complain

Glad you found something to complain. Actually I wanted to change the wallpapers as they are from the JellyBean ROM and I wanted something fresh. But I didn't find the time yet.

Switch between tablet UI and phone UI mode!

Small update of my ROM. I was sneaking around and found the code to switch the UI between tablet mode and phone mode. Many thanks and credits for this patch to SGT7 who published his ROM code on github. Switch between the modes in Settings->System->Status bar->Tablet UI

Hi BG,

Great work of yours, even better is your attention to people's comments or requests. You are a gentleman!

I'm having this little problem. When I leave the tablet alone for a couple hours and I get it back, it cannot connect to the available Wi-Fi network. Any tip? Maybe a baseband problem? I'm in Brazil.

Thanks in advance.

Flashed new version 30min ago and glad to see Tablet-ui on this great ROM!
Phone-ui was really disturbing to me

I am glad you like it.

Just to clarify: When you leave your tablet alone, you leave the WiFi on? Or do you switch WiFi off?

I have WiFi always on and I have no problems. My baseband version is P7500XXKL4. Not the latest one, but works stable and doesn't eat too much battery.

Could you do a bladerunner style bootanimation please? pretty please?

Thanks, and I am sorry, but for the problem with ProjectM I cannot help you. Will not spend 249Yen for something I do not use at all.

For the bootanimation, can you lead me to some sources? The current bootanimation is not done by me. A fellow XDA colleague did it for me.

I meant the Tokyo thing .. Bladerunner is Neo-Tokyo like Akira ... the simplicity of the look of this rom would lend itself well to cyberpunk themeing

Finally, after several days of testing, I am able to make some more comments than before.
The ROM seems very stable, indeed, and the battery life is outstanding.
However, I seem to have a problem with downloaded files. They are coming back in the list of files over and over again (in Notification area). And the more I download, the longer the list. The only way to clean this (only temporary) is to kill Download apk and restart it.
And I got at a certain moment another problem with the sound. The tablet got muted (P7510) and did not want to enable sound (even after restart). I managed to solve it my enabling/disabling the DSP Manger several times.

Thanks for your feedback. I will try to find out about your problems with the downloaded files. What do you use to download? Included browser or another app? I download a lot from my tablet as well and didn't see the problem yet.

About your sound problem, can you give me some more hints? When does it occur? What applications are you using? Is it related to a music player or in general.

Sorry, without additional information it is difficult to find the bugs. Do you know how to get a logcat from the tablet using ADB? That might help me to find the problems. Try to get a logcat as soon as possible after one of the problems occur.

If you do not know how to get a logcat this post on XDA might help: [Tutorial] How To Logcat

Thank you for supporting to make my ROM better.

Thank you for supporting to make my ROM better.

One by one:
I am downloading all type of stuff, from apk to docs, generally using the browser to start the download. However, I did not managed to reproduce this by hand, the problem appears (often), but when it 'wants'.

Sound problem was affecting everything, I have tried to modify the volume using the buttons - in and out of any sound application. nothing.
I have tried MX player, Music, in some games, on main home.
Tried to restart - nothing
Then, I have tried (where possible, as not all the apps have a volume slider) to increase the volume from app (or even from settings) - it allowed me to move the slider, however, the icon was grey (light grey - unavailable). At some point, in one sound app (unfortunately I could not remember which) I got an error that the sound is not available.
In that point I have started to play with DSP manager. Finally it worked. no problems since, so this in not reproducible.

I understand that you need logs. I have put the problems just to see if I am the only one to have these. It seems so.
It is a little bit difficult to me to take logs as I am always using the tablet far from PC (the main reason I got the tablet). could a log taken with a log apk be good enough? that I can easy do.

Development for this ROM has stopped.
    Thread is therefor closed.
New thread with Android 4.3 ROM will come soon.

This ROM is my first trial to build a Android 4.2.1 ROM for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1.
It is based on CyanogenMod 10.1 but flavored with my small own changes as usual.
GApps for JB 4.2 is included in the ROM.
FLASH THIS ROM ON YOUR OWN RISK! YOUR WARRANTY WILL BE GONE AFTER YOU FLASHED THIS ROM.
ONLY THE ROM FOR THE GALAXY TAB 10.1 3G (GT-P7500) IS TESTED BY ME. THE OTHER ROM VERSIONS ARE NOT TESTED.

Please check the XDA discussion thread for CM10.1 for additional requirements to use this ROM. Check there if you come from a ICS ROM, as you will need a new bootloader.

    IMPORTANT:
IF YOU ARE NOT COMING FROM CM10.1 OR A GANBAROU 3.x ROM YOU NEED A FULL WIPE BEFORE INSTALLING THIS ROM!
BACKUP YOUR SD-CARD! THE WAY THE SD-CARD IS MOUNTED HAS CHANGED!

    Reported bugs:
Gmail crash after flashing the ROM:
Update of Gmail from Google market should fix the problem.
Powerwidget in notification screen is not changeable.

    Tips:
After flashing the tablet seems not to boot:
Give it time. I mean a long time!!! It will boot. First time I flashed this ROM I thought it would not work, but it just takes a long time to boot. The bootanimation will be seen only short time, then the screen turns black. Just wait until the setup screen pops up. But it should take longer than 5 minutes. If the bootanimation is shown for a long time and the tablet does not boot, try
    1) reflash the ROM
    2) check that the zip file was not damaged during download (you can find the md5 checksums for all ROMs on my homepage)

How to get Developer options in Settings:
Click on Build number several times until it says that you are a developer

    How to enable MTP:
Settings->Storage->Menu (3 dots top right)->USB computer connection->Tick Media device (MTP)

    Organisation SD-card:
The original content of your SD-card is now in sdcard0/0
This is related to users management and I cannot change it.

LongPress on home button, then move finger up opens Quick Launch (CM10.1 feature):
Access QuickLaunch when the navigation bar is not centered:
First train your thumb to access the QuickLaunch panel with the navigation bar centered. Press the home button, then move your thumb up and the Quick Launch will appear. After you got used to it move your Navigation Bar to the left or right (whatever you prefer). Press the home button and move your finger up. Then press again just above the Samsung logo in the middle and the Quick Launch will appear. Still working on a better solution.

Show Pie-chart control when in expanded desktop mode:
First you have to setup the position of the pie-chart navigation in settings and activated the expanded desktop. After activating you move your finger slowly from the outside of the screen into the screen to activate the pie chart (works on all 4 sides). Just try it and be patient to get used to it!

For some of you are using a 7500 or 7501: use this mod to ban the battery drain: http://www.android-hilfe.de/5550736-post684.html (german androidboard, download the attachment, flash with CWM).
I flashed this on my tab with Ganbarou v3.08 and the battery drain is blown with the wind :victory:

Got the source changes for the kernel. Hope I can include them into my ROM.
