I have a similar issue and after falshing I dont see any changes

I listen that 1.2.7 is the better baseband actually.

I flashed the cm12.1 nightly, can I flash a baseband from color os?

You can flash baseband on any rom but be careful while flashing. It may brick your phone if flashed wrong one. My x9007 got bricked by flashing wrong modem
