Re: |KERNEL| DeviantKernel_05.1 ||3.0.62||OC-1944mhz|| *2|12

So far so good with the newest release. CPU Freqs wouldn't stick at first, but they did after a few reboots and a couple of tries.

192-1512, cfq, smartassv2, ROM Toolbox Pro

How did you get the CPU freqs to stick mine won't stick. Well only the highest one does.. but not the lowest please help

Set them, apply at boot on, then go back to home screen, go back in, if it didn't stick, set again and restart phone, rinse and repeat. Remember to wait the Cooke minutes to let the kernel sit after first install and wipe cache and dalvik.

I hate to ask again but does anyone know why IntelliDemand was removed in latest update? I am a big fan of it, and loved the kernel, just dont know of any good "on demand" governors that shut second core off like ID and ktoonservative does.

I've tried so many things and they won't stick. They'll stick for a little bit then move around. Seems only with the stock kernel they'll stick. I give up on custom kernels

Kernels working great for me( v.05.1). All settings are sticking using RomToolbox Pro. 192-1512 Pegasusq/Zen. No freezes or lag. First cycle but not too shabby. 13 1/2 hrs on, 2 1/2 hrs screen time, 38% left. and i assume it's only going to get better. Thanks Man. :highfive:

Just switched to v0.6, installed, then wiped cache and dalvik, clocks are sticking and it's great. 14hrs with 30 minutes of screen time and a few hours of bluetooth audio, and I'm at 70% battery.

192-1512, zen, pegasusq.

Looking forward to the newest update (downloading now) - one odd thing I have seen with this kernel: sometimes (not all the time), Android System use will spike *really* high (like 62%), and burn up battery...other times, stays within 10% and battery is fine. There's been no change in usage style/type, and for the life of me, I cannot pin down what would cause irregular reports/battery drain. Currently running 05.1 on Frosty 11.5, clocked @ 1620/384, smartassv2/deadline. Any thoughts on this are of course, appreciated. :)

:good: Hahahah ptmr3 - I should have expected that :)

But yeah, I will do that in a moment, and see what comes of it...I am hoping that cures my issue.

Can't tell if kernel or something I did wrong, but sometimes screen won't turn on when I press button. It'll still respond, like I can unlock the screen, but I can't see anything...

Might just be pegasusq governor.

idk, but I don't think it's your governor, as I get this happening to me too sometimes, and as mentioned in prior post, I am using smartassv2/deadline, so I don't think it's that...

No idea what it is, but kinda weird. In my case, the side power button acts up and fails to wake everytime. However, the home button always seems to work. Strange.

Oh yeah - update to latest kernel and all seems pretty nice - again, awesome work, ptmr3...as always. :good:

All of a sudden, problems from the CPU frequencies arise again. Doesn't want to stick, ever. I set, then they jump immediately...

    Voltage will be addressed guys by you also have to realize that undervolting is actually bad for your system. Certain frequencies need a certain voltage to actually function efficiently. At a certain point all you are doing reducing performance and making your processor struggle to full fill tasks
