I had some really weird behaviour with respect to Bluetooth. It goes like this:

I had the Bluetooth Car Kit static so I was going back to Liberty 3 (unfortunately) but thought, what if I wipe everything and re install the ROM. I tried it and the Bluetooth issue was fixed. Anyway, long story short, I did a restore on Titanium and realised it was trying to restore everything (even the old Liberty 3 programs that I didn't want). So I stopped it. When I got the phone back to the way I needed it I noticed the static was back. That's odd. I thought maybe some 3rd Party Software in causing the problems.

Ok, so now I've wiped the data and reinstalled. This time the problem doesn't go away (the first thing I set up was Bluetooth, no 3rd party software). I tried again. Same result, the static is there. I tried a 3rd time, making sure I wiped the data, cleared the cache and reinstalled the ROM. It was still there. What the??? It wasn't there once when I did this.

For the life of me I can't work out why is was fine once??

Oh well, I'm back to Liberty 3 as I do a lot of driving and talking to customers I really hope this gets fixed because I'll be back in a heart beat if it does.

Cheers, Mal

PS: Keep up the good work, this is probably the best project I've seen here (with my devices) in the last 3 years! The Verizon/Motorola ROM's are the worst ROM's I've seen since some odd Windows Mobile ones back in the day.

Did a fresh install and a full wipe.

Re-paired to my Jawbone ICON HD and Kensington BT Audio gateway and everything is working with no problems.

Paired with all my BT Audio devices (Moto ROKR, etc.) and is working with no problems, as well.

However, WiFi won't stay connected to my home network despite signal strength.

Thats good to hear. I wonder what was causing it. The wifi issues are known but only experienced by some. I had them until i switched to aokp.

you can try try to switch channels on the router..

im on beta #1 (last non droidhive release with camera) and its perfect for me (as long as i do my build prop mods beforehand (network mode to 2 and dualswitch to false) ) one week since on beta and still working without data loses on gsm and 3g
wifi always worked perfectly but sometimes it drops.
in my case switching the channel solved for good :)

I've noticed Pandora FCs when connected to Microsoft SYNC via Bluetooth. I think I noticed it first during Alpha #6, or whenever it was first noted that "Bluetooth on but not connected = loss of all audio (in progress)." I'm assuming it's related to that issue, but wanted to mention it just in case.

Also, it doesn't FC if Bluetooth is on and not connected. I haven't been able to test what happens when connected to other devices.

Pandora FCs on the Motoblur build as well. Same thing, I've only seen it happen when connected to Microsoft SYNC via Bluetooth.

For awhile Bluetooth audio was working fine for me (minus occasional static) on a few Hash's alpha builds.

I have been on this ICS build since A7 without ever having this issue.

My battery, after some tweeks to lights and using setcpu profiles.
Known bugs sounds like something that is wrong with code, but I don't see how that's possible if its not found in all cases. Hash can't fix something that ain't broke.
Oh and if you look back at the last time someone posted about wiping battery stats, you will find the link to the article that will explain that the only thing you are doing wiping your battery stats is increasing the chance some weird change occurs which could be causing your"known bugs."

Just making sure it was a known bug.

I do not always have this "issue" sorry for using the wrong terminology earlier. I just was under the understanding that this is where we were supposed to post issues we were having while using the rom. While I know that Hash can't fix something that ain't broke, I just thought I would post my issue to see if it was occurring with anyone else either.

Its all good. No drama, that kills dev. And maybe its not clear, but my opinion is there is a users thread for things that you occasionally see that don't effect the function of the phone. I see there are no moderators, so at some point we have to start self-moderating so that this can remain/become a place where everyone can follow without wasting too much time reading the same things over and over. Bonesjones even offers help via pm or email ..etc to keep this streamlined. All I'm saying is let's manage our resources so that devs can read here what might actually help them. No more rants for me...back to the shadows, reading and trying to learn more( finally know how to decompile the files so I can try and compare to atrix files). Thank you to all the people who spend hours for little to no money, seems to me like CM9 devs and people like Hash working together are doing a lot better job than google/moto duo who keep our bootloader locked.

After having the Beta 1 installed for about a day, my phone has started locking up after ending a call. The screen stays black and all buttons become unresponsive and the only thing that recovers from this state is a battery pull. I reverted back to my backup of Alpha 7 with the camera .zip installed and the issue is gone. Has anyone else experienced anything similar? Yes, I do a complete wipe before all of my installs.

I could not press 2 to activate so does anyone know the Verizon number for automatic programming or whatever?

Idk, but it seems like this build makes the cell standby use a lot more than usual. I'm getting like 10h of battery life.

    I'm booting up a new build for camera testing as we speak.

    It's been a long time coming just to get to this point.

    KNOWN ISSUES (as of 2012-01-12 build):
    • GSM users have reported phone still FCs quite a bit. I have a solution for this but it's a work in progress and takes a long time to do (porting Motorola World Phone code to ICS from Gingerbread). I am sorry for the hassle, but usually a wipe cache/dalvik cache will reset your connection.
    • Mute button on calls doesn't work
    • Camera doesn't work
    • Codecs which reference the /dev/ion driver don't work (including audio only for Netflix)
    • Backlighting for keyboard and capacitive keys only works with "Auto Brightness" set: see here for custom settings http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=22637417&postcount=957
    • [NEEDS TESTING]Leaving Bluetooth on but not paired causes all audio to stop working on the phone. If you turn off Bluetooth then audio comes back.
    • [NEEDS TESTING]Bluetooth in general needs an overhaul. It does work to make phone calls, but that's about it.

    HANDY WORK AROUNDS:
    • For users experiencing high battery drain: goto "Settings" -> "Sounds" and uncheck "Touch sounds" and "Screen lock sound".
    • For GSM/WCDMA users who have lost 3G: enter *#*#4636#*#* into the dialer. Then goto "Phone Information". Near the bottom of that screen there's a drop down of network preference. For GSM-ONLY use GSM (PRL). Exit that screen and reboot the phone. Wipe cache/dalvik cache if you still don't get 3G back or have many phone FCs.
    • For GSM/WCDMA users who seem to boot up into an phone FC loop. Try removing "GlobalNWSwitch.apk" from /system/app folder. Is probably only useful for DualRadio models.
    • For a Gallery replacement use "QuickPic" from the market

    QUICK REFERENCE "/system/build.prop" ITEMS OF NOTE FOR NON-VZW USERS

    CHANGE THIS TO 3 for GSM(PRI), 4 for CDMA and 7 for GLOBAL PHONE
    # Default network type.
    # 7 => Global Phone (4 => CDMA).
    ro.telephony.default_network=7

    CHANGE THIS TO FALSE TO DISABLE THE DUAL MODE RADIO
    # BEGIN Moto,IKDROIDPRO-430, a17673
    # Feature33857 on DroidWE, support DualMode switch, UMTS/CDMA
    ro.mot.FTR.33857=true
    # END IKDROIDPRO-430

    CHANGE THIS TO FALSE TO FORCE A SIM SETUP ON THE LOCKSCREEN
    # BEGIN Moto, IKSTABLETWO-1284, nfjb73
    # without this property, the lock screen would take global phone as UMTS
    # block user to operate before setup
    keyguard.no_require_sim = true
    # End Moto

    FYI: Fixed the links in the OP to account for the new home of files.rombot.org where the files are located.

    Also, support for this build is mostly done as we are moving to the new KEXEC alpha. But I wanted to make sure that the links were still valid.

    Alright, sounds good. I will flash it when I get a chance. Thanks!

    In this case, I took the updated files from the official soak test (906) and pushed them up so that they are used in the D3 cm/aokp builds.

    Jhiza has the right of it, sometimes you'll see minor improvements here and there. Will need some input as to how much of a difference the new binaries make.

    NOTE: CM9 has added back in the theme system, and I merged that into last nights build as well. And updated the CM release tools -- flashing zips now tries to keep your gapps in place. So from the 5/7 build on, if you have gapps installed and don't need to update them, then don't re-flash gapps after flashing the rom.zip. THIS IS ONLY A CHANGE FOR CM9.
