[TOOL][All devices & OS] Fastboot Commander(magic version)[v.1.51][UPD 15 AUG 2011]

I added a DONATE button... my HTC Magic device was stolen.. i need a new one for testing...
Once i have enough for it i will remove the donate button :0)

Updated to version 1.51.
Added: Conversion of BMP images to ready-to-flash splash files on all 3 systems.
Modified: Graphical layout is now more in sync in all 3 systems.
Modified: All tooltips are now corrected and fully helpful :0)

Instead of having to maintain multiple OPs, i have decided to redirect the OP to the desire forum. It's only the facade and nothing else. All questions and ect regarding the Magic/sapphire will still be on this thread :0)

The tool is the same and will work on any device which have fastboot mode.

For the 32A magic/sapphire device, I made a special tab [magic 32A].
See the second post in this thread for more info :0)

You have to have s-off to use this tool. Either by modified hboot or eng hboot.
Use it at your own risk :0)

Any feedback is appreciated.

Requirements:
Min 30 % battery!
Engineering hboot/spl OR S-OFF!

For the 32A magic/sapphire device, I made a special tab [magic 32A].
There you can flash a combo of hboot/radio/recovery. (The files are bundled with the zip file)
There is 2 buttons, 1 for old combo and 1 for new combo.
Old: Radio = 3.22.20.17, Hboot = 1.33.2010, Recovery = Amon_Ra v1.7.0.1.
New: Radio = 6.35.16.19, Hboot = 1.76.2007, Recovery = Amon_Ra v1.7.0.1. Modified by carz12

For this feature, you have to download a different version from the above (an older one)

awesome! flashing to old now... how long should it take? (mine seems to be stuck with an empty progressbar it the top right corner on fastboot) EDIT: at the log it says that it is flashing hboot.

EDIT2: i got this error:

"hboot" flash FAILURE.
FLASH OF OLD FILES FAILURE - SPL FAILURE.

what should i do?

First check connection.
If it gives you a device nr, then you have connection...

I will try to push "flash old" again....

Do not reboot!

What does the "actual output" say?

it's too late, i rebooted.

i can still get adb access with recovery, but for some reason i get USB device not recognized when i plug it in in fastboot mode

Simple... flash the radio only... the 6.35. Find it under the MagicFiles folder...
Flash ONLY the radio... if success then reboot, if not, comment here and do not reboot or shutdown the app.

it should be sticky on the DEV. section under/over the old radio switcher.

Well this is no longer just a radio switcher.
It's a full grown fastboot commander :0)
The magic radio switcher is just a subsection of what this tool can do.
I made the old radioswitcherGUI tool and gave it to eyegor (and the people) as a gift so he/they can benefit from it.
Now this is much more and deserves to have it's own thread under my name and supervision!

Just didn't want to steal the thunder from eyegors thread, as a sign of respect to eyegor.
So, whenever people see this thread, then they will know a "new" version is up. Just like you did :0)

Hey brother!

I have problems please help me:

0- First my cell was:
SAPPHIRE PVT 32A SHIP S-ON H
HBOOT 1.33.0009 (SAPP10000)
CPLD-12
RADIO-3.22.20.17
MAY 8 2009, 21:,0:32

1- I rooted the phone and flashed ENG SPL 2010 as i have done all 8 steps in your general guide to root (http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=756918)!
The phone is now:
SAPPHIRE PVT 32A ENG S-OFF H
HBOOT 1.33.2010 (SAPP10000)
CPLD-12
RADIO-3.22.20.17
MAY 8 2009, 21:,0:32

2-Then i wanted to update radio (since i find it bad reception), so i used this BootCommander tool and flashed new (magic tab) with erase system +userdata+cache enabled
the phone is now:
SAPPHIRE PVT 32A ENG S-OFF H
HBOOT 1.76.2010 (SAPP10000)
CPLD-12
RADIO-6.35.16.19

3-Now the phone is not booting! It keeps restarting but i can access fastboot and recovery!

Is it maybe because i have erased system+userdata+cache?!?!
Should i flash a rom now?!

YES.... Erase = erase = delete = remove all data :0)

You have to flash new system!

You also changed radio from "old" to "new".... A new system is inevitable

But the roms differs from radio to radio!

Hi,

Great job, nice to see GUI for user willing to tweek their phones.
I've downgraded mine sapphire 32A once - it is enough for time being.

Got a question - (have lost interest and keep so may be wrong) but noticed this:
You are offering Amor_Ra Recovery v.1.7 for both versions (old / new). As far as I remember, there was no 1.7 version for magic 32A users with SPL 1.76.x - reccomended for using was 1.6 hero version. So does it fit and boot with new radio/spl version?

Secondly, is there a point to upgrade my SPL on my Magic (got got 1.33.2005)?
I am always tempted to tweek sth, but this is as playing with fire

The recovery for the new radio is Amon_RA 1.7.0
Carz12 has merged his kernel together with the newest Amon_RA source :0)

It's working and i'm using it on every day basis :0)

I have never tried the 2005 version.... but if it ain't broken don't fix it.... :0)
