Had the same problem with siyah 2.6.11 and 2.6.12 for first few days of use, I came back to 2.6.7 which is the best friendly battery drainer for my config ... try another version of siyah kernel.

camera and videoquality is good and volumefix is build in i believe
volume fix is still the app
music volume stops going up when it gets half way but the bar still moves so have to use the app to make it louder

have a look at apn settings, settings > system > mobile network > access point names
if theres nothing there press menu then reset to default
kyle51 ty for the assist but it didn't work either..ended up going back to pro sms as it would at least allowed me to set the sms service center number..
Now I got my SGS 2 back am able to retry this great Rom. One question persists however with video playback. I seem unable to use any hardware acceleration with xvids and the like when using say mx video player and moboplayer. Is this normal? Do I require a codec pack or something as its not a Samsung based Rom? Thanks

I fixed my battery drain problem in 8.2 using syah 2.6.9 kernel and the instruction from here:

noob question
after rom install i have a widget sp power manager in wich i can activate 4 mods , primary medium best.. i clicked one and now i cant set it to OFF how it was before.
how i do it? thx
primary is the normal?
or just reset things in the drop down menu how you had them before, it only turns wifi or stuff off
weird thing is i dont know what activates/deactivates exactly .. and near the battery indicator inside the widget was OFF wrote. now only says one of the mods i select.. i cant set it back to say OFF again ) u know what i mean? thx

Full Wipe Recommended If Come From Other Rom!!!
If You Dont Perform Full Wipe It Can Cause Instability And Other Problems.

Questions and Answers::
My microSD card doesn't show up!
The location for the microSD card is /emmc.
Still don't understand.. Follow these instructions:
1. Download Solid File Explorer (Also included in rom, choose when installing rom in aroma installer).
2. There are two ways with Solid Explorer, when open Solid Explorer hit back once (now you are in /mnt). You should see folders such as asec, SD Card, Internal Memory, and secure. When ask give root permission and click on SD Card. now you have access to the files on your SD card.
3. Or with Solid Explorer just press Jump > Device > SdCard
My external SD card doesn't show up when I connect my phone to the computer!
Goto Settings > Storage > Menu > USB computer connection > Choose between Mass Storage And MTP mode.
Or when using Siyah Kernel
Goto Extweaks > Misc > USB Mass Storage Mode > Force MTP Mode
My /sdcard and /emmc are reversed!
If you want to change the storage settings go into: Settings > Storage > Menu > Storage configuration > Select Use Internal Storage > Reboot.
My scrolling is not smooth!
Go to Settings > ROM Control > Performance > Scrolling cache > Force disable > Reboot
The weather shows up as a black box!
Tap on it to trigger a weather refresh, It should show up fine after that.
Battery Life With DragonICS V3.3.2!
Battery life time by using Siyah kernel 3.3.2 with the next settings changed in Extweaks (rest all default):
