I posted a couple times in the release thread but it got lost in all the posts about rooted and unlocked versions. So has anyone on Verizon with stock moto X receive the 4.4.2 update yet?

Yes, I got it Monday about 9:30-45 in the morning. Not a soak tester, however I am registered on Motorola Connect. Just wait, it is not a big change and everything works basically the same. Chris

Yeah I just like having the latest lol but thanks for the response. Did it come to you in a notification or did you get going into settings and checking the update status? Cause that's all I've been doing.

Signal seems the same for me. Camera seems better for me but who knows. Nothing really noticeable for me but I don't use exchange so I'm not sure if that bug was squashed.

I side loaded it btw didn't get the OTA.

Woke up this morning to a "your phone has an update available" message. Downloaded itself and was waiting to install.

I did notice that I had to reboot the phone to connect to Wifi after the update, but so far everything is looking solid. Haven't checked bluetooth or NFC yet.

Moto service automatically downloaded 135MB 4.4.2 OTA for me, OVER THE MOBILE DATA. I only had 300MB data for the month and am not amused that the phone just decided to download OTA by itself even when WIFI was turned off. Furthermore, I can't find any place to disable such behavior for the future. Any suggestion ?

Mine is verizon.

Thanks.

Call Verizon - they will credit you for any overages for this.

I've looked in and out and haven't found any setting that can disable such OTA behavior.

I'm actually using another carrier's SIM on this phone ---- Verizon Moto X is gsm unlocked.
What if this happens when I'm roaming internationally (with a non-Verizon carrier) ?

Downloading OTA via mobile data without consent just doesn't make sense.

If you are rooted you can freeze MotorolaOTA app or rename it.
